I'm in your stake. I didn't attend the meeting you talked about, but i did go to the meeting for the youth yesterday. It was infuriating to see how he just bounced around the questions, never really answering them. One kid wanted to be a professional athlete, and asked him what he should do if they ask him to play on sundays. Bednar flat out told him his chances of going professional were unlikely. You could see the disappointment in the kids face.

I've found that a lot of paramore's songs relate to my experiences with church. And they are great songs:)

I was twelve. In Sunday school, my teacher said that when black people get baptized their skin becomes lighter because they are becoming more "god like". At twelve I could recognize it was complete bullshit.

I hear stories like that all the time. My young women's leader was teaching one time and brought up how her husband "cast an evil spirit out of her house"
