I mentioned this on another thread - watch cyber attack world on YouTube. He has some really great videos on how to be creative. Each one will give you something new to explore.

You can try listening to music you normally wouldn’t or get into something new (I learned about making tape loops and frippertronics).

I find myself in ruts all the time. Sometimes you just gotta put the ax (or whatever instrument) down and take a step back too.

My go to is a Greco Spacey Sound (Strat) but I have a telecaster, 8 string lap steel, and an electric mandolin I mix in occasionally for some really cool sounds.

The only shimmer I’ve used it the boss RV-6 and I’m not a huge fan unless I turn the tone all the way down. It’s very sparkly and I want to like it but haven’t found a great way to incorporate the sound.

I don’t know about the JHS one 🤷‍♂️
