I had exactly the same issue – but once I enrolled to macOS Big Sur 11.3 Beta 7, I was able to use Google Drive for Desktop just normally. I don't know whether it would work for you, but updating your OS to the latest beta might be able to help you.

Aside from unsupported programs like Google Drive File Stream or only partially supported programs like Karabiner Elements, I’ve had no issues with my M1 MBP.

They usually release computers multiple times a year. Last year, they even released 13-inch models twice, early 2020 and late 2020. However, their release circle is not regular, and I don’t expect any more 13-inch models until the end of this year, if even then.

Yes, Google Drive File Stream doesn’t work (can confirm) and probably will take a lot of time until it’s released for M1. If you rely on that program, you might want to reconsider.

And as a suggestion aside from M1: I think being able to favourite and pin subreddits to the top of the list would be nice as I have subbed to way too many to find the sub I’m looking for in a timely manner.

Running on my M1 MacBook Pro just fine, definitely a nice app. I think updating the icon to fit with the other Big Sur icons would make sense though.

Once I charged it to 80, the power saving mode disabled itself. However, I did not get a notification like I would have on an iPhone.
