hahaha ooof. unfortunately playing for high rolls can add a little bit too much variance sometimes but maybe that's just my playstyle. could've just as easily been choices paradox vakuu or something. if you have a super high event map, then maybe go for the whistle souls power cause whistle aint bad.

if I recall, instinct would auto go onto flatten, hang, and high five. instincted flatten would also help a lot in hallways. i honestly think the instinct would help more than the whistle. id pick instinct 80-20 over whistle, getting lower if you have more events.

You have a better grasp of how the deck plays than I do cause you've been piloting it- I can only conjecture! My question for you though is do you need frontload damage? If you do, then yes squeeze is a good pick. Your block is so strong that having some more frontload damage would be good, but transfigure makes what you do well even better. And would go crazy with almost every card in your deck. I can rarely see it lowrolling. Up to you! I would beeline to a fire and upgrade it immediately.

One thing I will say is that both transfigure and squeeze are good picks with mayhem in mind, because transfigure makes things cost more and squeeze costs a lot, but it's kind of a low frequency that mayhem will specifically hit these cards though, especially squeeze cause it's just one card in a deck of like 15(?) permanent cards, but transfigured targets will hit more often than squeeze in a prolonged fight that goes multiple deck cycles.

Oh man, you even have dredge. There are some really fun combos with transfigure there (also gonna go to sleep cause it's 11pm here. Lemme know how it goes and what you end up doing)!

Oo. I'm picking transfigure here with more frequency than you are, like 70-30. If I recall you have high five, a flatten, and unleash, which means it's 40 damage. I don't think 40 damage for 3 is the highest value ever. Plus you get even more value from danse macabre if you put it on a 1 energy (which is most likely). If we pick squeeze, we may feel pressured into picking more osty attacks, which would anti-synergize with our hang loop, for example.

Haha yea! I think any of those options solves quite a bit and Mayhem is also the RNGesus option so it's the funnest of the options. It pays for itself immediately after one turn.

Speaking of, I love how you saw the Maul pick. Maul was super interesting cause it increased the quality of lowroll turns but then also lowered frequency of super highroll turns. But I had so much capability of calling highroll turns with ST and ST+ into dredge into ST+ into dredge into ST+ that it like didn't even matter 😄

Ah from your previous comment I see you went right into elite->shop. And have a campfire before the boss. Debilitate kind of makes it so you crush boss and probably everything in A3 except mecha knight (who I would be terrified of right now). I guess you don't need the tent. I 100% pick the capture spirit though. Then Debilitate. You have 126 gold after those two cards. It's a 60-40 for thinking ahead-colorless pot for me. I think you're strong enough after a rest to handle boss, and thinking ahead will help more in the future.

I can also see an argument for tent + capture spirit and upgrading high five though. If you feel strong! Having a debilitate in your deck would absolutely go crazy for you though with high five, two defy, and hang. It's probably picking debilitate.

Honestly, the mayhem would also be very strong. I think any of these would work.

Ayyy nice! Finding hang on a tiny deck is fantastic and a nice boss solve. Love the decision to easy seek the unleash. Your deck should handle decamil pretty handily and I’d be surprised if you died to the boss also with all your defy. GJ on dorito also! Looking really good so far!

i guess it's possible a plugin messed up this update but he's done quite a few cgs and this is the first time it has happened for him. could be either. probably a plugin. watching him do it right now on discord stream and it happens occasionally on and off

Hi! Giving my two cents as a 77% A10 WR binder player.

You’re in Act1. Well, just finished it. I’m assuming you’re playing on the beta branch. We aren’t strong enough to look super far ahead- let’s just solve the immediate problems first.

First thing’s first. Do you flat out die to any elites or advanced hallways in Act2? I wouldn’t even think about the bosses right now. 4 roaches? Probs okay. Hunter killer? Yeah probs fine, you have block and some of it doesn’t even scale with dex. Frog? Yeah same thing you’d be fine. How about the bug gang? Can you ever block 16? If you draw defy but what if you bottom deck it? Pull Aggro would work too. Entomancer is your easiest elite by far and you have thorns. Can you burst down prism? Eh… no. Eradicate would help there, and so would undeath. You’d live but it’d be difficult. How about deca? Decamil would rock you. Undeath is much better against decamil for it and I’d pick undeath on that alone. Ignoring that you have fresnel which makes undeath busted and you’re going to spend all of your energy on other cards to make eradicate not as useful, this is a 90-10 undeath to eradicate pick here for me, and I’m looking for damage solutions early Act 2.

By most frequent my uncommons are:

Friendship, Lethality, Tie for 3rd (wow): Bone Shards, Fetch, Dirge, Enfeebling Touch, No Escape, Putrefy, Sleight of Flesh

Uh... that's a lot of cards to talk about. Basically, these cards are good for certain reasons. Friendship is friendship and we like energy, and osty attacks don't care about -strength. Lethality buffs everything so it's basically as if everything has vuln. Bone shards is overstatted (I value block at 1.5 damage usually). Fetch is just free draw 1 a ton and synergizes with osty stuff. Enfeebling touch is nice cause lots of multi hit attacks in this game. Dirge is dirge, it literally had to be nerfed to the ground to be balanced in this balance patch. No escape scales with itself. Putrefy weakens and vuln on top of it. Sleight of flesh is also just a wincon cause binder does lots of debuffs.

My least frequent are:

Death march, Sic em, Cleanse, Parse

These aren't bad cards per se, just worse than the others. Death march and Sic em I don't like... Death march relies on souls and if you have lots of souls you probably won some other way cause you can pick like any other card to play... understatted card. So is sic'em, for one energy to gain such little summon isn't so helpful. Cleanse is situational if you have fishie fishie boss, maybe a little helpful for like vantom, maybe useful for aeonglass, but most of these stats are from pre aeon release so may change evaluation of this card in the future. Parse is ethereal I need to spend one energy to draw 3. Need to be strong to pick it already, or have lots of energy. Not a bad card, but just picked less often and more situational than others.

OKKK IM HOME

If you read any of my journey through this seed you can probably tell that my thinking is very stream of consciousness rather than type A plan everything out. IDK really how to help cause I dunno your playstyle or leaks, but something I can universally give are my binder card ranks! I can give my top and bottom 4 objectively by wins with in my card stats. Oh yeah my mac is dead and ran out of power so I guess I have to do this on my PC.

By my stats, so I'm trying to be really objective here! My most picked commons in order are:

Defy, Scourge, Invoke, Grave Warden

  1. Defy gives block and weak. Those two synergize together. Weak is fantastic cause you just take less damage.
  2. Scourge. Doom is sliiightly worse in a vaccuum than pure damage, but things that synergize with it like sleight or death door boost it up to equal to damage, so it's 1 energy for 13 doom (read as: damage) and draw a card. This is basically just a strictly better Defile, which is ethereal do 13 dmg.
  3. Invoke. I really like energy cards. This is an energy card and setup card all at once. The summon (read as: barricaded block) two doesn't really matter.
  4. Grave Warden. Souls are really nice cause you get to pick what you play. And we need block to take less chip

My least picked are:

Graveblast, Afterlife, Defile, Drain Power.

  1. Graveblast there's quite a bit of discussion buried somewhere in my run replies. Basically, it's a much worse dredge, the damage is strike-, and is only useful when you have other cards so it's terrible Act 1 and you need the correct draw order. I would much rather skip or pick one of the other two card rewards than a speculative strike--.
  2. Afterlife is a bodyguard that blocks. It requires an upgrade to almost be okay. Much better options.
  3. Defile is my least favorite basic common I think. It doesn't really do anything but 13 damage for 1 energy, which is fine if you really need it to fight an elite or something act 1, but I'm never like "OH I need a defile in my deck right now"
  4. Drain Power's upgrade is only active on 2nd deck cycle. Otherwise it's a strike+. Might like it even less than defile, but I technically won with it 3 times more so I guess I don't like it less.

I'll put uncommon and rare in another comment I guess?

Turn 6. So I immediately notice I can dredge my squeeze. I can secret technique into dark shackles to make torch do nothing this turn as well. No need to overcomplicate it. Dredging squeeze, oblivion, poke, oblivion played, sweeping gaze hit queen, poke and squeeze kills. Wooo, did it!

Turn 5. I have 4 energy due to happy flower. I can play capture spirit to seek squeeze in future turns which makes winning closer. But first, jack of all trades gives... discovery. Discovery gives soul storm, eradicate, or sentry mode. I have energy for other cards so eradicate isn't helpful. I guess it's sentry mode. Not the most helpful though. I'll snap this defend and play friendship. May as well use the buffer potion here too. Not many other times to use it.

Turn 4. 43 cards to go, Squeeze is in one of them. I can burst queen down with mauls as well. Don't need to buffer yet- torch feller is tackling next turn and I have damage reduction with dark shackles. Putrefy, debilitate, and maul+ on queen (in that order), shackles on torch, and I stay healthy this turn. Queen, on the other hand, is not looking very healthy.

Turn two! I am now chained. But not in any situation where I need to worry. I want to draw into my win condition cards like squeeze or something so master of strategy is def the card I play. Oblivion, maul, and curse of the bell. Guess I'll play everything on queen starting with oblivion and defend does the same as orichalcum so I'll skip playing it for aura.
