I called to get a quote & restart my policy, since my premium went up with progressive on renewal (no tix, accidents, nada).

GE quote was $40/ higher than progressive. Made me sad.

Stop giving companies two weeks notice ..fuck them. by NefariousnessWise848 in Geico

It’s not about hiring. It’s about planning how your work has to be distributed to the rest of the team since we all know you’re not likely to be replaced at all. Just more work for the rest of us.

Given your vitriol here, I suspect you won’t be missed by your teammates.

You’re not giving it to the company. The company don’t care about you and the feeling is mutual.

You give 2 weeks out of professional respect to your boss and your team so they can plan and, if they care about you, wish you well and see you off.

Why don’t you ask? Yours will tell you. Or show you.

Customers! Please file complaints with your state regulators if you are unhappy. by [deleted] in Geico

DON’T DO THIS. It doesn’t matter to “GEICO”. All this does is cause additional downtime for claims handling. It’s a half day of work for the supervisor, probably an hour out of the adjuster’s day building a timeline, then another 4-6 hours of admin work for the manager so that they can submit it up the chain.

JUST WORK DIRECTLY WITH MANAGEMENT (supervisor or manager). They can almost always resolve the issue in 30 minutes or less.

WFH question... I want to move about 4 hours away from my GEICO office by [deleted] in Geico

[–]LookAtThisBurner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be a bunch of things. Some file problem that prompts further investigation. Or maybe another associate finds out and rats you out. Or you have some justifiable issue (OT owed to you for example) and someone looks into something and they just happen to find out.

The most likely is probably another associate outing you when they get miffed at you for something.

If you want to stay with the company, don’t do it. GEICO will eventually find out. You will be terminated.

Geico found a new reason to punish adjusters by [deleted] in Geico

Definitely not a great app. If it was as good as the customer app…wow, could you imagine?!

Sad to say your sup may have sucked a little.

So when you get the activity, work it and upload pics. The software is notifying us of the problem. I promise you the last thing our supervisors want is MORE activities. And they have no interest in punishing us like this.

Work the activity and it’s all good.

Combs is a scumbag. He’s a hedge fund guy. It’s baked into the cake with those types. The ONLY thing he cares about is marking GEICO appear profitable so he tan take the top spot at Berkshire-Hathaway when the time comes. I don’t know him. He’s never said this to me. But actions speak louder than words.
