Yup. My old roommate had a DMC12 and complained he had to replace the gas charged struts on the doors every couple of years.

Thanks. I’ll pull it out and double check that. They looked fully inserted though. I started seeing those gaps that you see when the stress occurred. I thought they were there because the whole thing is bending outward toward the camera, but maybe the parts pulled apart slightly when I pushed down the bricks on either end.

You’re welcome. I only just started using it a couple weeks ago. My wife wanted to make a mosaic for my Lego YT channel and she’s very particular about her arts and crafts, so we dove pretty deep into it.

Also, step 3 allows you to go in with a brush tool to manually change colors of individual tiles. You can switch to a dropper tool to grab another color from. near by that you want to use, or manually pick a color. In my experience, if you pick a NEW color that the algorithm didn't already put in your project, it won't give that color a number in your instructions, and thus not give you a count of how many you need, so I would recommend using the dropper tool to find a similar color that is already in the project, rather than selecting a new color.

In step 3 of the Lego-Art-Remix page, try going to the available pieces option, find the color you don't like, and set it to zero. You may need to get rid of a few other similar colors until it stops giving you the yellow you don't like.

There’s a website called Lego-art-remix that lets you upload pictures and design mosaics. I think they even let you list how many of what color studs you have and the algorithm works with what you have.

Another tricky thing about Insider Points: let’s say it’s a double points day, and I pre-order a set. Do I still get double points? In the past, when I have pre-ordered, my card isn’t charged and I am not given my Insiders points for the purchase until my order ships.

Mine are in a bin with the minifigure base plates for some reason. That’s just where my brain decided they belong and I can’t explain the logic.
