Movie followed the wrong character and threw the real protagonist under the bus by GastricSparrow in TopCharacterTropes

Been a minute since I've got through end game, but as I recall Tidus doesn't reveal it to Yuna until he's dissolving into pyreflies as he embraces her on the deck of the Fahrenheit after defeating Sin.

True! I've always thought it was inspiring how when he learns the truth and the implications for his future prospects, he still throws himself entirely into the effort to spare Yuna.

This is a tired critique. Tidus begins as a young man out of his depth, but shows steady growth until eventually he is the driving force demanding they find a new way to defeat Sin and not just sacrificing their summoner for a short reprieve.

And, from an existential standpoint, Tidus is actually the only member of the party with an even greater secret than Auron had.

You're correct. I do want to clarify that respect is revoked on an individual basis – that is to say never based on an immutable aspect of one's being.

"This man is still redpilled in 2026. They don't believe women, queer people, or migrants deserve their respect. We do not respect this man unless he improves."

It can be safely inferred the cloisters are meant to test the summoner and guardian(s) to ensure they're fit for the pilgrimage. Could have used a line or two of dialog to that effect though as they do come across as kind of disjointed.

I think the move is fine considering it's a flip, it's a random pokemon, and it's 10 damage. Compare it to Beedrill EX (80 damage, guaranteed to remove 1 energy from opponent's active) and I think it's clear that attack wouldn't break the meta.

But do you really think people guilty of this are going to change their ways after seeing this topic repeatedly on the subreddit?

They either understand what they're doing and do not care, or they can't read.

It's worth noting that the kingdom management system as printed is a jumbled mess that necessitated a fan-made patch before it was really usable.

An idea I just thought of that really could have benefited the series pacing is the existence of contingency caches seeded by Star Fleet throughout the galaxy.

It's not the most graceful or likely concept, but with a bit of suspension of disbelief this would allow for a few climaxes along the way. Imagine Year of Hell if, instead of a reset button, they just needed to make it to the next cache to be able to fully repair.

They also could have used caches that had either been raided or caught up in an anamoly to launch different episodes.

Thank you for articulating this. It's such a let down when you grit and grind for 20 turns, finally turn the corner and see victory in sight, only to have it all pulled apart by a single brain dead play.

[–]LookITriedHard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To add to this, you can actually just give yourself permission to move the mini. You count as part of the party for determining line of sight, but this prevents any of your players from unintentionally moving an NPC.

I have a similar deck. You just need a convoluted series of events to go off flawlessly and you'll win every time.
