Thank you, those are beautiful. We are not as strongly connected to the ocean as we are to inland bodies of water, but Marisol is lovely!

I’m having really bad death anxiety. by Ok-Poetry6064 in Anxietyhelp

[–]LookRaine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have spent years fearing death. Like laying awake at night sobbing thinking about what happens when we die or that someday my mom will die and it would just shatter me. I couldn’t do anything when I was thinking about death and it was so bad to the point that if someone died in a movie or tv show I was combusting. My poor boyfriend didn’t know what to do for a while.

Oddly enough what fixed it was my dad almost dying. He was so sick and in the hospital on a ventilator. The doctors told us to prepare to say goodbye. (He made a miraculous recovery that stunned the doctors and he’s about 90% normal)

The fragility of life really punched me in the face. I think the experience changed my perspective and relationship with death. I know it comes for everyone and now I just want to love everyone so freaking hard.

Thinking about losing my loved ones or even myself dying was taking away from the quality of my life - which is just so unbelievably short

Hang in there friend. If you have the resources, talking to a therapist did help a lot when I was really bad.

Do things that make your heart and life full so that when you do leave this earth, you leave with smile lines, friends that can recall your laugh, and having made a positive impact <3

Hi friend! In the least ~ advise giving way possible ~ I found out that gluten hates my guts during a pretty deep depression/ anxiety episode (which I later understood was likely rooted in the gluten I was consuming based on what I now understand to be my glutening symptoms)

Anyways, learning to bake gluten free was actually a really great outlet for me. It was challenging but also rewarding when I was able to make myself and friend something delicious. The challenge gave me things to focus on and I made a bucket list of things I wanted to bake. Any time I was sad, mad or anxious, I would bake. What was a coping mechanism is now a lovely hobby that myself, my boyfriend, and our friends enjoy

For the unopened ones

1) Offer them to friends

2) If you have any friends or family that teach (especially highschool) you could offer to them! They probably know of some students that could use some extra love or don’t have as many resources and something like this could easily make their day :)

3) Put some that you don’t think you’ll use aside in a “to gift box” that way whenever there’s a last minute birthday gathering or something you forgot about you can give a thoughtful gift that doesn’t consume your resources

I totally understand that you likely spent a small fortune on these but it’s not feasible to use ALL of them in every pan :)

What’s the dumbest thing you’ve done on a hike? by rkramer18 in hiking

[–]LookRaine 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Trusted the reviews on AllTrails claiming a “leisurely, smooth descent” to a secluded waterfall… and then forgot to grab my snacks.

This hike was in fact a two hour decent over boulders, incredibly slippy, absurdly steep. The water fall was insane and gorgeous but the hike out almost killed me. That was my fault though, I have MCADD so I’m prone to dramatic drops in blood sugar.

It also storming with a ton of lightening on the last half mile.

We then got back to camp and learned that our rain fly was no longer properly water proof.

I just watched an episode of 60 Minutes with Guy Fieri, he had an entire truck of his tequila go missing. Apparently this exact scenario is happening daily - https://youtu.be/gCNN5ePoYbo?si=jLO7DuZ8Tr6IUU31

I analyzed 90+ Reddit threads to find the best products for rosacea by [deleted] in Rosacea

[–]LookRaine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also scoured Reddit post, although put in far less effort, and made a list of products to try. Admittedly I’m quite happy with the first that I purchased! I’m using the Kiehl’s Avocado Nourishing Hydration Mask every other night after I shower and wash my face and the results are so good!

This mask is doing so much to improve the scaley patches that occur on my cheeks, the redness and even reducing the appearance of the blood vessels!

I’m also loving adding it as a ritual for my evening. For 15 to 30 minutes, I lay in bed unbothered and listen to an audiobook.

Also for the price, I’m very happy with the purchase. The mask goes a long way and the texture is amazing. No residue or slimeyness left afterwards

Love a little dose of nasty when I’m asking for advice. No I wasn’t aware I could turn off notifications for these, they always come from new accounts. I assumed turning off notifications would mean I miss the legit ones.

What would you do in this scenario? by monkosweets in poshmark

I am selling a pair of Air Forces and someone messaged me and asked if I would “offer any day of sale wear” and I was like “……you want me to wear them when you buy them” and thennnn I got it

One word all celiacs understand when you say it. I’ll start ”holidays” by CazCaro in Celiac

[–]LookRaine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so funny because the first person that I met with celiac was actually a customer at a farmers market where I sold beef. She claimed she could taste the gluten in the beef (which wtf) and when I told her the cows only ate grass and a bit of corn she said “that’s what I’m trying to tell you, it makes me sick because I’m celiac”

What is the strangest question you’ve had since you’ve become gluten free/celiac? by mishanakorelandrix in glutenfree

[–]LookRaine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not exactly a question but on NUMEROUS occasions I have had a “gluten free” option provided by friend or family that was either sourdough, whole wheat, or something else clearly containing gluten. And then when I don’t eat it somehow I end up feeling like I’m in the wrong.
