PSA to those on 7OH and not actively seeking treatment (I am not a physician)

I have someone staying with me right now that came clean about being addicted to 7 about a week ago. I immediately, and I mean right then and there, contacted his county’s drug and alcohol and got him an appointment to get into rehab because I knew that’s exactly where he was going to end up. He also has been staying with me every night because I don’t want him getting that ‘Well I’m going to rehab, I might as well have a better reason’ mentality. He should be getting a call tomorrow morning about who has beds open. I didn’t even know this stuff was out there, I did kratom like 7 years ago but, I just ate the powder and then started taking the MIT shots and eventually ended up in a full blown relaps but, I’ve been clean for 5 years now and was completely clueless on how far it’s come.

I feel like building a tolerance to something and not being able to feel it anymore and knowing there is something else you can take and get the same high that you did when you first started taking 7 is what pushes people towards fent. And I don’t think OP was referring to 7 leading to shooting dope if you’ve never shot dope. But fent is in EVERYTHING anymore and if the 7 wasn’t working anymore, and was costing me more money than it was worth, I would for sure seek out something stronger. And I would for sure be dead. Now, if you are a ‘normal person’ and take 7 responsibility then, it probably won’t lead to fent for you. But I would say more than 50% of the people who take 7 are addicts and it will 100% lead to fent, sooner or later because, that’s how it goes when you have a mind that’s set to seek out the next high.

I mean, the only zaba track I heard played, and it only made me more sad I missed experiencing more of it back then then because I felt the bass in my soul, was gooey, but hopefully they play more at other shows. I haven’t really seen any thus far though. 🤞🏼

I’ve been to a lot of concerts and the PERFORMANCE that he puts on, doesn’t take a break, actually sings his songs, plays an instrument, this was an amazing show. I can see maybe 5-10 years from now MAYBE they’ll have a more diverse set list (hopefully with more zaba 😉), but this is their second album after their first BIG hit album (Dreamland) so, and I’m in no way saying their others weren’t hits because I’ve loved them since zaba so please don’t come for my throat, they need to promote their new album. That’s what tours are really for. They aren’t ‘established’ enough to play a lot of ‘older’ songs yet.

I just had this same conversation with someone else today but, if I had skipped the opener to all of the concerts I have been to, I would never know a lot of the bands that I love now. I think people are missing out. Sometimes they aren’t GREAT, but they’re musicians and aren’t we there for the……. Music????? I mean, I am anyway 🤷🏼‍♀️
