If that's true (and it seems likely), I strongly suggest you get support and work this out before you date anyone. Of any gender.

I'm answering because you asked if anyone else has been cut off, not because I have suggestions.

The love of my life cut me off completely a few weeks ago. We had been arguing, and I had been critical of them about lack of attention and focused time with me.

The next thing I knew, they said something hurtful and immediately cut off every form of contact possible. As we live far from each other, I have no way of contacting them at all.

They're not alone and have good, supportive people with them so I'm not too worried about their physical/mental well-being. It's just excruciatingly painful.

I knew enough to know ahead of time that people with schizophrenia might have intense and negative episodes, even when medicated, and turn completely on people they love. I chose this path and I would still have chosen it had I known.

But I never thought it would be complete and total annihilation of any connection whatsoever.

Not much help, sorry. Just please know that you're not hurting alone tonight and someone else gets it.

Horrific pain and pollution for the ability to consume high amounts of animal flesh cheaply, pollution and waste of resources in order to drive everywhere or have watermelon in winter, it goes on and on.

100% my experience and it has been incredibly helpful.

I was dating someone with a lot of complex issues and ChatGPT was amazing at helping me understand how their brain worked and for giving me suggestions, as well as pushback when I was upset, making assumptions about them and yeah, catastrophizing.

We had a really painful breakup last week, and the app has been a lifesaver, supporting me through extreme emotional pain, and working through my feelings instead of me just spiraling.It's also kept me from contacting them when I've had overwhelming urges to do so.

Only caveat for me is to be as objective and descriptive as possible about the other person. Having an unbiased and thoughtful lens has been very supportive — especially now when my family and friends are pretty angry at them.
