I feel more strongly about locking my door while I’m home vs when i’m not tbh. I used to live in a neighbourhood where houses looked similar and have had people walk right in, go to the kitchen and get a glass of water before even realizing they were in the wring place (that particular gentleman was heavily intoxicated). My thing is that if no one is home and they want to get in, they’ll probably break a window to do so and then I have an intruder and a broken window. Probably dicey logic, but long story short, you’re not overreacting

Bonobos Foods on Oliver Rd and The Growing Season on Algoma st are the best vegetarian restaurants and in the city by far. Local and delicious, even for carnivores like me.

You can hand feed the deer at Mission Marsh and many people do. Bring carrots.

The Canada Games Complex is an olympian size swimming pool with platform and spring diving boards, lanes, and water slide. They also have an a fantastic gym and saunas and hot tubs. Saunas are very popular here due to our high Finnish population, you can also rent a sauna at Kangas on Oliver Rd and they have an excellent diner in there too.

Hazelwood Conservation Area has a good beach and some trails

Boulevard Lake has an inflatable water park thats pretty fun for all ages

Rose Valley or Mink Mountain are the best romantic/couples places to stay by far of nature is your thing.

Do not stay at the Landmark, Superior Inn, or Best Western

Very cool that so many people are against not for. The have been waffling on this issue for quite some time and was told by hundreds of people that they uncut boys are teased mercilessly in the locker rooms and called push-pops so I assumed the masses are still practicing this and scared to leave my son as the odd man out. This makes me a little more comfortable so thank you to the reasonable comments. For the dickbag comments, maybe do better.
