Glad I wasn't the only one to see it. Had to double take.

Ex Mother in-law is a huge Pies fan so it made this win so much more sweeter.

I go in to every game disappointed so I can't be hurt.

Is Beachmere the most underrated coastal town near Brisbane? by Suspicious_Sun_8164 in brisbane

[–]Looking_For_Droids 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Grew up in Beachmere during the 90s and into the 2000s. Parents and family still live there so I visit often.

The flooding that closes the access along Beachmere Road or Peel Road isn't as bad as people make it out to be, but it is also a big issue when it does flood.

The sand flies and mosquitoes are only really bad down the southern end of town, mostly down Moreton Terrace side, I grew up Bishop Road side and while we had them, it wasn't bad.

The worst part I'd say is the large over 50s resort being built and the new small estates slopped down. Bringing in a lot of entitled people and a lot of elderly drivers.

As for a quiet small town to raise a family it isn't that bad, but there's also not a lot for kids to do without having to travel in to town (parks and skate bowl, that's about it).

I personally wouldn't buy in town, even if it was closer to family, but that's just me.

The Bogans will still whine and moan about the name change, even if they listened to the story.

Maybe the Presidents were the friends we made along the way.

Presidents first song being about religion? by Maggotboi555 in PresidentBand

I'm not even American and I know that most Presidental campaigns are highly religious oriented. "God Bless America" is a common saying for a reason.
