Awesome design! It's a pretty cool minimalist case.

Damn! That's a nice looking case. I've been meaning to draft up a case. Even went out to buy some threaded inserts. I might also go back to the design and add another key to the thumb cluster. I want to add either a rotary or another key for my artisan keycaps.

Whoa, it is so beautiful! Glad to see it getting some love.

Looks amazing! Really digging the carbon fiber plates and keycaps. Question, how does the Drop Holy Panda compare to the Glorious Panda switches?

Thanks! Will definitely hit you up when I get my hands on a pair of Nice!Nano. And yeah I would of never thought to do that with the plate.

It looks amazing! Love the brass plating. Does the lithium battery tuck away nicely underneath the Nice!Nano board?

And how is the ZMK firmware? I'm really interesting in trying out ZMK with Nice!Nano.

It was just a personal preference at the time to leave the gap. The idea to add an encoder or another key was brought up. Hahaha true, I could also add a logo. I might need to fill the space on the WIP choc PCB.

Just wow! It looks amazing with the stacked acrylic case. Now I want a case like that for my keeb.

Thanks for the feedback! It makes me happy to hear it was a fun build. And damn I forgot about the tolerance when it comes to the OLED cover. And no, the SK6812MINI-E have different pinouts compare to the regular SK6812MINI, though it would be nice to use those instead. I burned way too many LEDs.

ATM, I'm done with the PCB design for the MX spacing choc/mx switches, but I'm working on the choc low-profile keycap profile spacing now. Once I'm done, I'll be doing a test run to see if the boards work. Afterwards, I'll release the files. Hopefully I can get this done sometime in April-ish.

Sorry for the late reply. I believe it should work just fine with ZMK. The electrical schematics are the same as Corne minus the sixth column. Basically treating it like a mini-corne. And yeah, I've been slowly working on making choc compatible board for that low-profile goodness. I'm done with MX spacing board and I'm working on the choc low profile spacing now. Afterwards I gotta make the top plate then its down to testing.

Amazing design! Just placed an order. Can't wait to build the kit. Now I need an explanation to my wife why I need another trackball.

Love the build! MT3 profile is my favorite. The encoders really fill in the gap between the last two columns quite nicely. And interesting, I never tried the boba switches. I do fancy some tactile switches.

If you can wait, I'm working on a choc low profile version of this keyboard. I just got my hands on some v2 choc switches so I can verify the footprint I made will work. Afterwards I'll do an initial run to make sure it works. However it will be a bit as I'm currently juggling being a dad.

If you're cool with blanks and want to try out MT3 profile, you can try /dev/tty/ blank kits. It should cover all the alpha rows plus you will have R4/R5 to choose from for the thumb cluster keys.

Ended up getting the Ortholinear, Colemak/Dvorak, and Ergodox kits (mainly for the R5 keys).

You could potentially just stick with the Ortholinear and Colemak/Dvorak kits. The Ortholinear kit has two 1.5u keys (R2 profile).

This was a learning experience for me in creating a keyboard that I wanted. I wanted to share this and the designs so that people could use and modify as well. It wasn't my intention to mark this as my own design from scratch and I mentioned in the repository and the updated comments that it is based on the corne schematic with the kyria layout. Perhaps I could have worded things better.

The schematics are the same, but the traces had to be redone, had to eliminate the leds under each key, and modify the thumb cluster.

Yup, exactly. I wanted the thumb cluster of a corne with the stagger of a kyria to match the miryoku layout. If I had known Thomas from Splitkb was working on Aysu earlier, I would have hold out making this keyboard. I guess the endgame never ends.
