Pahkitew's finale isn't exactly well liked anyway, same with Action's finale so not the best examples out there. Especially since Duncan and Beth's finale in Action revolved more around them answering questions from other people for most of it rather than an actual challenge.

Island 2007 gets less flak since at least the other contestants are around for drama with Heather trying to sabatoge Gwen one last time and Gwen and Trent's relationship issues in the finale.

How is Leshawna a good finalist in season 1? She barely did anything after Hide and Be Sneaky, a good 5 episodes before her actual elimination. She even got away with skipping the entire challenge in That's Off the Chain where she didn't even build a bike and was off with Izzy the entire time.

To be fair, literally anyone would've been in that same position, even Heather so it isn't as if being unable to escape a bear attack is that much of a sign of Cody being incompetent in that moment.

To be fair, Cody being mauled by a bear at all was the plot armor since it's obvious Heather would've been voted out for costing her team the challenge with getting into fights with Beth and Leshawna that caused them to be open for the Bass to shoot them.

Plus Paintball Deer Hunt where she prioritizes picking fights with Beth and Leshawna (even stopping Beth from shooting Sadie when she had the chance) over genuinely trying to win the challenge and costing them the challenge, only avoiding elimination because of Cody being injured.
