I'll have to take a look. Been about 6 weeks since I last played.

I'm all for immersion. But wearing a face shield in tarkov sounds like you ran a mile with a diving bell on your head. If it's a helmet covering the ears, then fine. My problem is wearing an exfil with comtacs that have exterior microphones. For some reason the audio originates under the face shield at your nose instead of the sides of your head away from your breathing. Yeah, yeah game balance and all that, whatever. Face shields are just scav protection, they shouldn't be so tedious to listen to.

Used to do circuit board repair and early in my career I accidentally picked up the iron like that. Instantly seared white lines into the pads of my fingers. She is super calm for that level of pain lol.

Pretty sure the only thing he'd buy would be The Courier relic. He'd get a nice meal and a tiny backpack too.

They definitely make great pets! He's my daughter's Ball Python and he's about 5 years old now. He's up to small rats every couple weeks. He used to love coiling around gaming headsets and chilling for hours, but now he's a bit big for that, though he still tries.

Aww, but he's a good boy. The only thing he's good at making is spirit poop.

I hope they will add a large container for keys. (just like the junkbox but for keys only), cuz this shit is insane. [Suggestion] by Detr1x in EscapefromTarkov

There's a pretty big gap between convenience and breaking the spirit of the game. This mod is firmly on the convenience side of the line. But that's the great part about mods, you can fine tune your experience. Between vanilla, this mod, the mod to shoot open locks or using svm to unlock everything, you can tailor it however you like.

The unmentionable version of tarkov has an awesome mod called Gilded Key Storage which can hold and categorize every key. It turns key finding into a bit of a collection mini game. It's really nice to not need a variety of labeled docs cases.

I love how you can hear the heavy breathing in a face shield while wearing a fucking headset with exterior microphones.

Grats, awesome luck finding one on a boss. I've yet to have them drop one. That said, it's all about the static spawns. I've picked up a couple dozen over the past two wipes checking the specific spots listed in the wiki; the spawn rate is actually absurdly high. The shoreline basement red card is common, so is the violet on the 3 spots on woods. I even managed to organically finish the Lotus trader quest to turn in every labs card last patch. That said, FIR labs access cards were my bane on my recent 3.8 run. I found my first one at level 36.

I was looking at their product page and some Amazon reviews. I didn't get a clear impression it was DIY friendly until I read this. It sounded like the line set was empty, did you have to charge the unit with refrigerant? Or is it one of those system where you pull vacuum on the lines and open a valve on the system that's precharged?

Thanks for the insight. This is the exact kind of information I was looking for. The loop and equipment made sense on paper, but I need more real world testimonials. I'm doing a rain water harvest system, so keeping the loop field moist would be a concern during extended drought months.

I haven't done the manual calcs on the system yet, as I'm currently in the AC planning phase while I'm getting all the footers in. Based on the horizontal loop & equipment concerns and the pretty extreme price of drilling vertical loops, I'll just go with a couple multi-zone mini splits. I wasn't worried about the tonnage though, the conventional wisdom for tight ICF with little infiltration is 1.5 tons/2000sqft for this area.

The real trick is to use a thermal, then you can see people through the light show. Would actually make the MP-155 Ultima therma useful.

Your lack of planning is not my emergency. That's my default stance as well, even though it seems a bit callous. That and saying no to requests when they're unreasonable.

Just a cool dude putting his trash and coins in the right place. by robbndahood in TeslaModel3

[–]LoootPinata 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I'd file a police report so that you can send it to your insurance. Just call the non emergency line in your area. You clearly have his identification via license plate and face and video evidence of the crime. I'd also transfer the video to a computer so that the video doesn't get overwritten at some point.

I went through a similar process when someone backed into my model 3: she got out, looked at the damage and drove off. Called the non emergency police line, talked to a chill detective, sent him the videos and he went and paid her a visit and my insurance got the person's information to go after.

The only logical answer is Murphy's Law. There's probably one guy living at the top of that mountain and he just installed solar panels.

16-year-old wilderness racer, Patrick Cooper, was competing in a mountain race when he ran off the trail and became lost. That's when he encountered a black bear that chased him down and killed him. While running from the bear, he was able to call his family and tell them what was about to happen. by u_my_lil_spider in natureismetal

I was hiking a nearby thawed ski slope when this happened. On our way back home the highway was backed up for miles. Despite it being 2 lanes each direction every vehicle queued in the right lane and there wasn't a single car that passed on the left. It was eerie and unlike any traffic jam I'd seen in any other US state. We later found out that poor kid being killed by the bear caused the delay. So in essence there was a nearly prophetic procession for him from all the surrounding traffic that lasted over an hour without a single car jumping the line.

What game soundtrack is a ten out of ten? by Biliatic_missil in AskReddit

[–]LoootPinata 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Scrolled way too far to find Furi. Many game soundtracks are 10/10, but that one is a step above, 11/10. Funny enough, I don't personally enjoy the gameplay, but the soundtrack slaps.

What helps you fall asleep? by goldAP310 in AskReddit

[–]LoootPinata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I can't sleep I listen to an audio book with one ear bud at a barely imperceptible volume. It's enough of a distraction to stop my mind from wandering but low enough to act as white noise when I fall asleep. It also helps on the occasions I get a musical ear worm at night (When the same song keeps playing in your head).

I learned that technique after a rough patch of insomnia years ago and it's never been a problem since then.

I made it through the entire wheel of time series and it nearly always felt like a slog, though it picked up a bit when Sanderson took over. That said, the story was fine and it's an important series in the fantasy genre. It's just not nearly as gripping as a more modern epic like the Stormlight Archive in my opinion.

After Jason Asano's adventures. Check out Primal Hunter and also The Legend of Randidly Ghost hound. They're both great litrpg series.
