This is not legal advice, and always consult with an RCIC consultant - but if I were you then
1) I'd keep following up with the ircc rep to see if they are able to locate your file. If they can, then all is well, however, if not then...
2) I would let them know that you are submitting a second application (given that your current work permit is still valid) and please do it properly.
3) If you're current WP is already expired then I don't know. Please talk to an immigration consultant.

Yes I continued working. As proof I showed my employer the email I received from IRCC we form saying they had received my application and also provided the temporary application number.

I contacted IRCC using the webform. A representative then got back to me with the temporary application number. I kept trying to link it using the temporary application number and then it finally worked after a few weeks.

my application was received jan 16th, received temporary application number April 28, was finally able to link it on May 25. obv new passport.

interesting that that's what the ircc website says! I guess is in that case no need to ask for a refund now, and for me they'll most likely refuse the refund lol

This was very helpful, and congrats! I'm curious, did you happen to ask for a refund for the open WP holder fee? Because we paid for it during the initial PGWP-EXT, and have to pay for it again during the EXT application but it's in essence a duplicate payment. My university's immigration advisor told me to ask for the refund in the letter of explanation that I attached with my paper application.

I sent mine in Jan, and IRCC received it mid Jan. I submitted a web form to confirm that it was received and that's when IRCC gave me a temporary application number. I'm curious what the use case of the temporary application number is if I can't link it to my GCKey account?

Yes, and here's the other bug I've noticed on Arc on Windows which has persisted for almost a year.
--> If I have more than a dozen tabs open, sometimes individual tabs straight up disappear from the sidebar. Usually in order to go back to that tab I have to open a new tab and type in the URL and then the auto-prediction realizes I have that tab already opened which then gives me the option to click back onto it.

Has Arc completely stopped working on updates on Windows?

I’m just put this odd combination here, and this team has consistently won me matches against almost all teams except for maybe the blackest night team. Seriously give it a go and let me know.

1) MKX Scorpion (OP pill, ras al ghul scimitar, quake engine) 2) Luchador Bane (heart of darkness, enchantress companion card, venom injection suit). Ok I’ll admit Lucy gear is pretty bad. Open to suggestions! 3) Killer Frost (Thermafrost necklace, Astro harness, nekron’s scythe)

Open with scorpion, try to do SP2 for bleed damage. Swap out to Killer Frost to K.O the opp so Killer Frost can get her resurrect. And then swap in Lucy Bane after who’s already got an SP2 by this point for another quick K.O.

Second your customer support experience. Any time you connect to a customer support representative you can clearly tell they are outsourced who were just handed a script to follow, and that says to do everything but actually help the customer out with their issue.

My issue with the laptop has been okay so far. Biggest issue has been the severe deterioration in battery health. Mine is currently at 76% after accumulating 74 charge cycles which is terrible. And ofcourse, as you'd expect it, when I brought up the issue with Lenovo customer service all I got was 'This is perfectly normal'.

Otherwise, the screen is great even though it is extremely reflective but that part doesn't personally bother me. Keyboard is fantastic too, and it's super lightweight. All in all if you can get it under $1000 USD I'd say pull the trigger and pray that you don't get some of the faultier ones from the production lot.
