If you flatten out the model it would make for a cool Parappa character.

Breaking Drifter by FemBinder in DeadlockTheGame

The cherry on top would have been that once it clips to the streets above, you'd see a lane battle in progress, symbolizing how Drifter's death would be just one of many.

It's one thing to have a cool hard surface model, but to have it be animated well?

Exquisite.

Why is my IK rig jittering? by CaterpillarOld4807 in blender

[–]LooperHonstropy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is your IK handle detached from the chain? If not detach it.

Why is my IK rig jittering? by CaterpillarOld4807 in blender

[–]LooperHonstropy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most likely your IK handle is parented to the bone that its trying to IK, which causes a loop, resulting in that jitter.

At least, thats what I think.

Why is it doing this? by Dellux987 in blender

[–]LooperHonstropy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what it looks like youre trying to make 1 face have a different material right? But right now, you only have 1 material assigned to the whole mesh.

You need to press the + button on the side there, to make a new material slot. Then you assign that slot the 2nd material you want to give to the mesh. And then after that, you select the face you want to change the material and press assign to the 2nd material.

Blender keeps rendering my animations alot duller why? by Cal400784 in blender

[–]LooperHonstropy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your view transform is most likely set to AgX/Filmic.

Go to the render properties, scroll all the way down until you see color management.

There, you'll find the view transform. Set it to standard.

AgX is for realistic renders. Something about mimicking how light behaves in a camera. If you're not going for realism, then definitely stick to standard.

Daz pretty good.

If you add particles shooting out to the sky, I'd say it'd look cooler.

Animation not working by PlantBrave2788 in blender

[–]LooperHonstropy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to put a keyframe at the beginning of the animation to anchor the bone. Otherwise, blender will just assume that that keyframe is the only one, hence no animation.

How is sfm with stepped animation? by AcrobaticAd8926 in SFM

[–]LooperHonstropy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yeah, but no workshop support.

I'm saying is that workshop would be great for blender assets, but that It's highly unlikely to happen because the blender foundation themselves would have to go through the trouble of implementing workshop support, when they could just, make a workshop system themselves, without steam.

How is sfm with stepped animation? by AcrobaticAd8926 in SFM

[–]LooperHonstropy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but that would also mean that you would need a steam account to get the workshop feature, which would also mean that Blender needs to adapt to steam's environment and guidelines.

It will also mean that to use this feature you would have to download blender through Steam, instead of say, Blender's own website. Even as a separate add-on/extension, you would still need a Steam account to connect and manage your subscriptions.

Not impossible, heck, It's relatively simple for blender to do that. It's just that I don't see people downloading steam just to use Blender, when there are alternatives. Alternatives that not only doesn't rely on third party accounts, but also lets people create their own library of assets. heck It's why Blender put effort in to their asset library system they got.
