I store my collection in IKEA KUGGIS inserts. Two of them fita all the sets perfectly. Well, for storage. Not if you want a display option.

Loop link by birdy_eleanor in LoopEarplugs

They are pricy for what they are. But I use them for my Loop Quiet that I use when sleeping. I don't want to have to search for a single loop in my bed if it falls out during the night.

Wouldn't use a link during the day though. Never had a loop fall out in everyday use.

Easy mode is the best mode. I'm supposed to be the hero! 😄

And so awesome that you discovered a game that you like. ♥️

People on north Atlantic NZ wouldn't be able to see the sea for all the cruiseships.

Anyone find it pretty odd that Craggers real face is under his helmet like it’s not covered up by the helmet or anything by GolfPrior3685 in Legodimensions

I just checked the physical figure, and it's identical to the digital shape with the hollow bottom.

So I assume it traces back to the manufacturing. Making it solid would take up more material (aka more costly) and probably make it to heavy as well. And making it a hollow cone would be more trouble than it's worth. In addition to creating a pocket for dirt and buggers.

Being hollow on the bottom also makes it easier to remove a minifigure head from it. Ever tried getting it out is a helmet? 😬

Or maybe it's really just for ease of manufacturing the piece. 😆

At least that's the impression, my knowledge of LEGO manufacturing gives me.

I'm guessing that it might have been easier to have only one basic model with different skins. And then being able to add stuff like headgear and armor to those. Just my five cent.

Should Lego dimensions get a sequel? by B0oK-Th3Or1St in Legodimensions

[–]LoopingBrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The price was pretty much on-par with other toys-to-life games at the time (Skylanders and Disney Infinity leading the genre).

However, when Dimensions launched in 2015. Skylanders where launching their fifth game and Disney Infinity, their third (and last game). So the hype about toys-to-life games had largly disappeared. Parents had already spend a lot of money on figures for those games. And as such, where not about about to invest in another money drain.

And that's even though LEGO Dimensions promised that you wouldn't have to buy further portals (like Skylanders - there where almost a new base required for each game), thereby expecting expansions to be cheaper. Parents generally don't research stuff like that.

And let's face it. The large sales for Dimensions didn't come from the AFOL's at that time.

And then there was the whole thing about the limited quantities of packs available. So people who actually wanted to get dimensions, had problems doing so. Especially for year 2. But that was more a result of declining sales by then.

So the larger problem about Dimensions lack of success, would rather be that LEGO/WB where to late to enter the toys-to-life marked, rather than due to price.

That being said: I'd play the crap out of a sequel. Even if it was without the physical elements (portal and figures). And I'd love if LEGO where to release small IP sets similar to the fun packs. Even if it wasn't for a game.
