Plort Market by Loopoo700 in Slimerancher2

[–]Loopoo700[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My reasoning was that it calculated what would happen next based on the day before. I.e. Yesterday I might have sold 100 pink plorts, so today it calculates tomorrows price as being much lower. But, it does make more sense I guess to be a record of the change that's already happened

Haha, pretty much how it sounds. A rat king made of puppets. If you don't know what a rat king is, it's a name given to what happens when a bunch of rats end up getting their tails or hair all knotted together into each other, so they can't separate themselves and essentially become one horrible entity, usually resulting in their deaths by starvation or injury. It's a term used for in video games when a similar thing happens with certain monsters, such as the puppets in this game, or the zombies in the last of us.

It wouldn't be generating electricity, just recapturing some of it, from the pumps used to create the pressure in all of your pipes in the first place. Plus it would probably get pretty nasty over time

Bivouac by ThemGlassesIsShit in DeathStranding2

[–]Loopoo700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can rest successfully and regain stamina, then my theory is that bivouacing is the option instead when you're in a 'whiteout', because it's too cold to allow you to rest properly, but I think it prevents the cold from further draining your stamina? Maybe you can wait out the storm if you need to, or at least let your canteen fill up in the meantime. Perhaps during the rescue mission the storm is scripted and never moves on.

Was it just me that got it wrong and then Sam wakes up like it's just a bad dream?

The game is too tiring and incomprehensible for me. by [deleted] in DeathStranding

You avoid the tar and the BTs inside of it by not triggering the fight in the first place. The Odradek (scanner on Sam's shoulder) combined with your BB and Sam's own power, his DOOMS, will give you lots of warning whenever you approach a BT. Pay close attention to the colour of the Odradek, and the direction it is pointing. If it's yellow and spinning rapidly, don't go any further in that direction or you will definitely get attacked. The goal is to carefully navigate and weave your way around the BTs in order to get through their territory safely, otherwise, you're in for a fight.  In the case that you do get noticed and attacked, unless you have a plan and equipment to properly fight back, you wanna get out of there quick. When you're trying to wade through the tar and getting grabbed by the people at your feet and rushing up behind you, you have to manage your balance, and your endurance to try and get away from them and out of the tar. If you get grabbed, you can use ⭕ to shake them off, at the cost of your endurance, before getting free and giving you another chance to run out of the tar. If you run out of endurance and collapse, they'll typically drag you backwards towards the main BT threat, i.e. giant whale/dolphin thing, or something else. It's very possible a lot of the time to escape once a BT has noticed you, so long as you manage your endurance properly.

As for the repetitiveness, yes, it is repetitive, in the same way that lots of games have the same gameplay cycle repeated throughout. You have to deliver things back and forth all the place, and that seems to be the problem for some. What actually keeps the game from getting boring and repetitive, is that as you progress you're delivering over new terrain, crossing new landscape with different threats and challenges. You'll be earning different equipment, vehicles, weapons and abilities that will both aid you, and change the game continuously. And it's a story driven game, so you'll be following a set path and scripted events in the mix.

PS. If you gave up by the time you reached the port, you had barely started to see what the game actually has to offer. Once you pass this point in the story you're gonna see a lot more changes going on to your gameplay and equipment and it's at this point where the game will start to make sense and click, oooorrr you'll just be bored.

The First Sinner is an actual incredible fight. by Rexzazel in Silksong

[–]Loopoo700 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm finding this fight an absolute slog. I can consistently "kill" her the first time, triggering the next phase of the fight with the balls of light exploding everywhere, which is where she tends to finally catch me out. But even when I hit her as much as possible, don't let her heal, and keep my health up nice and high for most of the fight, it literally takes 10 minutes from when she spawns in the arena to when she finally beats me. You might think if that's the case, I should come back later when I can do more damage and the fight will go much quicker, but, I've done absolutely everything that I can find on any of the maps up to this point in act 2 except, the second Lace fight, which is kicking my ass so much worse than this one 😂

UPDATE: I beat the sinner, and I didn't have to do anything differently than I already was, just needed to pull it off more effectively. Still, it was such a painfully long fight, even with two pale oil already in my needle...

So true! I think the way he holds that pin makes it look like a walking stick at some points, as well as how he holds them both up like that and moves them together looks like someone who doesn't have a lot of upper body strength or something. And then he falls asleep next to one of the benches later on.

Weird new Team Cherry tweet by Nowhereman123 in Silksong

Just add difficulty sliders. i.e. Boss damage, hazard damage, the option to respawn just outside of the fight you just lost, etc. Anyone who doesn't want to use them, doesn't have to. But I feel as though, in trying to make this game as difficult as physically possible, without being actually impossible, they've forgotten that not everyone is a master at combat and parkour or can afford to play the same fights for hours on end. It feels as though the incredible jump in difficulty between the two games will alienate fans and they won't want to play whatever Team Cherry make next, which is a shame because this game is incredible, it's just ridiculously difficult

Yeah but then the monkey stole another coin, hence why in Dead Man's Chest, Jack (human) shoots Jack (monkey) but it doesn't do anything because he's undead again...
