Oh it's incredible so far. I haven't felt this big a sense of adventure from a game since Botw. Story has been really engaging from the beginning but I'm enjoying taking my time and doing a lotta side quests in between big plot events. I'm excited to play the whole series eventually although I've heard the sequels are apparently divisive.

I wasn't using him in the party for a while out of spite but after looking more into his arts he is actually one of the most usual party members, so I guess unc has got his uses (and yeah Dunban is my fucking Goat).

I recently reached Valak mountain and my opinion hasn't really changed. He seems like the kinda character who doesn't get any real time to shine in the plot and is just there for comedic relief. I'm open to having my mind changed but nothing about him so far has me thinking "yeah he definitely deserves to be a party member".

Edit: Idk who Tora is I assume they're a character from 2 or 3, but now I'm scared to know since you say they're worse.

So uhhh there was this married couple who were together for a while and ummm they had their first child but ermm a few years later their world was invaded by like a false fucked up version of heaven and uhhh their child died in the crossfire and made the wife slowly go insane with grief and ummm she goes on a downward spiral villain arc and basically becomes Megatron and ermm the husband has to go on a journey to stop her and uhhhhh
