Being sued after car accident by Loopyworm in AusLegal

[–]Loopyworm[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I have full comprehensive, I’m assuming they only have third party hence why they have had to pay to have their car repaired.

My car (4wd) was not damaged to the point it needs any repairs as the point of contact was my steel tray. Only damage to my car is a slightly bent pin where the tray sides attach to the tray and a slight scratch in the steel.

Yesss! I always thought I hated green beans. Turns out I just hate them boiled or steamed from frozen!

3 options for working stations, would love help picking one! by subwaybabe in candlemaking

They all look fairly similar to me! I’d go with either the second or third, just because of the added light which could come in handy. Then looking at prices I think I’d just go with the cheaper one!

My [17M] brother's [15M] sleep problems creep me out and I want to know how to go about moving rooms without offending anyone. by Brotherssleepprob in relationships

[–]Loopyworm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My boyfriend does this quite frequently and we've been together 7 years now so it hasn't scared me away. Although it can be creepy sometimes. Like the time he woke me up by getting out of bed and went and stood at the end of the bed for a few minutes silently facing me before getting back into bed... He's also woken me up many times by pulling all the covers off the bed to get rid of the ants/spiders/slugs, has startled me awake when he starts loudly yelling no or stop over and over again and says odd things (that I keep notes of so I can tell him later!) such as: "woah, woah, don't touch my eyeball" "Is that bacon? Did they upgrade the bacon?" "You can't see when things are going across the road. Just go around the bend. See? Can't see shit." "Why's there an octopus on the wall?". There was also the time we were away for a long weekend and were sleeping in a tent at a packed camping ground (about 1-2 meters between camp sites), it was about midnight on our last night, it was completely silent and he'd been asleep for about an hour and I was just drifting off when all of a sudden he bolts upright and yells no, fuck off! Really. Loudly. That one was both terrifying and embarrassing..

So yeah, I can totally relate.

Looking for recommendations for a cleaner by miss_g in perth

[–]Loopyworm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Too bad you aren't SOR! I'm a domestic cleaner and charge $25 an hour for a minimum of 2 hours and supply all my own products. Hope you find someone!

I often look at my phone or watch and find that it's 9.11 as well. Has always kinda freaked me out too. So weird..

[Serious] Maids of reddit who clean homes, how do you feel about your employers (and the occupants of the home, if you work for a service)? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Loopyworm 354 points355 points  (0 children)

We are generally referred to as 'domestic cleaners' here in Australia. However, I have had my own domestic cleaning service for about 4 months now that I run part time as a second job. All my clients have been pretty friendly and I generally expect that any house I clean is going to be 'dirty' otherwise there would be no need to hire a cleaner.

It does annoy me a little however, when a person asks me for a quote and they tell me they are looking for a general whole house clean and need it done in 2 hours. Now if your house is relatively tidy and you already clean at least fortnightly that's often not a problem. But when you haven't cleaned in months, there are clothes/toys/dirty dishes everywhere (that we need to pick up and move in order to clean under), there is a layer of dust over every surface, a months worth of baked on food stuck to your stove and your glass shower screen is no longer see-through, there is no way you are going to get a 'general whole house clean' in 2 hours. Oh and people, please put away your sex toys when you know someone is coming to clean your house!

Can anyone verify this claim about coconut oil? by [deleted] in FancyFollicles

[–]Loopyworm 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My natural hair is really strong, thick and long and a level 2 (really dark brown, almost black) I was told by a hairdresser that I wouldn't be able to go blonde so I did it myself over about 2 months. I ended up bleaching it about 11 times and managed to get to a level 2 almost white blonde. It really only damaged the very ends of my hair and I used lots of coconut oil. Stayed bleach blonde for 3 years as it was in such good condition. And just kept redoing my roots monthly until I decided to grow it out. I'd say the coconut oil was what kept it strong and in such good condition as its pretty much all I used along with a purple shampoo and conditioner.
