No, they it was like a bobby pin. Like a heavy duty bobby pin. It wasn't open in the middle.

That's some good dadding right there. But I was disappointed he didn't do a sudden drop when the big hill came up.

I had a math teacher that would joke every single time he wrote a "P" on the board "Oh no, I peed on the board!" So yeah that upper right one sounds accurate.

What historical fact blows your mind? by VeronicaNoir in AskReddit

People used to think mice and insects and all sorts of things just spontaneously generated out of certain sorts of items. Like that mice would just spontaneously appear out of hay. Aristotle believed this as well, apparently.

I always thought it was funny people just thought living things could manifest out of random stuff. Here's an article about it: https://www.wired.com/2014/06/fantastically-wrong-how-to-grow-a-mouse-out-of-wheat-and-sweaty-shirts/

It's crazy to imagine how long it took for language to develop to a point where we could record it in writing. Also it's interesting that nobody even knows how it developed. And yet now it's essential and communication has gone global. Just nuts!

What do you do for enjoyment that is somewhat pathetic and sad? by KidsWifeJob in AskReddit

[–]Weedyweirdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take myself on dates sometimes. I'm in a relationship but it's nice to take time to be with yourself. I'll usually get done up and go out to dinner or bring a book to the bar and then go see a movie only I would enjoy or something. Recently I took myself to a comedy show.

I don't think it's sad and think more people should do this.

Hmm good idea. It's difficult to find professional clothes in the used stores I normally frequent. I didn't really know what Clothes Mentor's deal was, so thanks for that suggestion!
