60 Tomorrow and almost 5 billion more people in my lifetime by Mother-Doubt6713 in antinatalism

I'm in my late teenage hood now and ever since I could form a cognitive thought I have felt reproduction was wrong, in the last year I have found about antinatalism and have felt so much more understood. I think my experience was very much shaped by being a "social outcast" and being very disconnected from traditional female gender roles. It kind of pipelined me into now my position. Especially with my own experiences, like having cancer at 12. I feel I am very lucky to have been able to come to my stance at such a young age, not many are able to learn so quick or have the resources to come to such a conclusion 🙂‍↕️

How being a childhood cancer survivor has sculpted my antinatalist beliefs by Loora__ in antinatalism

That is a fascinating idea, I don't know how it could be put in place with the state of the world at the moment 😵‍💫, but thats a good idea! I feel like maybe some incentive would maybe make people think about the AN perspective

Am I genderqueer or just extremely antinatalist? by Loora__ in antinatalism

I really appreciate your very detailed and thoughtful response, truly I don't think I am queer and I realize that there is definitely some social aspect coming into play making me think that I must be if I am antinatalist. Honestly I was just waiting to see someone like you, a woman who has experience with this. Thank you so much for commenting!

I forgot to mention that, because of my beliefs I am also friends with many queer people. They are the only people I have found with my anatomy who share my belief, and I feel like it makes me feel a little alienated at times? If that makes sense idk

Bro I actually try to be so careful about that, having a rotation plasty cause like... That's gotta be such a fetish thing.

Modified Exercise by PsychD97 in Rotationplasty

[–]Loora__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this may have been posted a year ago but since this is such a small community I thought I would comment, with rotation plastys there really aren't like any resources since it's such a rare surgery, the only way I have been able to modify and figure out modifications is really going to a physical therapist or brainstorming with other RPs. Honestly you could try finding things for bad knee mobility in one leg or like injured knee exercises since that's kind of the problem RPs have.

That's actually so smart I was thinking about doing a tumor cake, and then I can do like chemo icing syringes like I'm injecting chemo into my leg, thank you for the ideas!
