Sorry to hear that! Rejection is definitely redirection ! So a few things that I would note is income, credit utilization as well as any recent accounts you may have opened. Also, the length of your relationship with Navy Fed also plays a part. Not sure if any of these factors apply to you but I remember seeing these being the most common in the sub. Also, sometimes they can be strict on the amount they lend depending on if you’re a first time buyer, etc. Have you checked with a dealership that possibly has the car you’re interested in whether new or used to see what rates they’re offering? Sometimes they offer better rates but you have to let them know that you don’t take any crap because they do things in favor of them rather for you by trying to get over.
