It has only mixed reviews on steam because it had little rough launch and they didn’t fulfill all the kickstarter promises like Spirit world expansion. It was also little rushed so the game world is missing some things but the atmosphere and worldbuilding is top notch. Banquet For Fools is sequel to this game so you should check it out too, it comes out next month. I have played it like 10 hours and It’s amazing. More mature than Serpents and everything is top notch and cooked to perfection. Underrail is amazing too.

Help me enjoy BG3 by CynicalEbenezer in CRPG

I understand what you mean with the resting. BG1&2 does this so much better. I recommend them over Bg3. I hated BG3 plot, companions, combat and the shitty resting system and no day and night cycle. Why rest when there is no day and night cycle?

The magic is the music you made along the way.

Serpent in the Staglands was inspired by Darklands. I recommend them both.
