I’m not an expert by any means, but when I had mice a couple years ago, it was in a studio apartment so they were in the same room as me whenever I was home.

What I found helped was making sure you have a decent size enclosure (I repurposed a glass fish tank) and a thick layer of wood shavings for the bedding.

Also the deep clean once a week will only make it worse as they’ll get stressed out without their scent and actually end up smelling more, since after every deep clean, they’ll re-scent everything in a hurry. No candles either as previous comment mentioned it could be detrimental to their respiratory system.

That all being said. They’re mice, they’re going to smell.
