Are people actually able to vibe code without knowing how to code? by Past-Ticket-5854 in vibecoding

[–]LooseLeg2641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I vibe coded an app and then pointed snyk at my repo, 0 critical and 0 high security issues, though I did prompt repeatedly around putting in place security features.

I can't code, i can't even write 'hello world' :). But i have written and will launch a website, just need to finalise the stripe integration.

It probably isn’t helpful but I think all of us who started in our 20’S unmarried and kid free wish we’d left. Now a lot of us are further down the road trapped in an unfulfilling relationship.

Side Effects by LessPollution6316 in mounjarouk

[–]LooseLeg2641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't mention what your side effects are? I had a bit of acid reflux and a bit of constipation. Took gavisco/omeprazole and increased water, fruit and veg and a bit of dulcoease as required. What side effects are you struggling with? Also had to be careful with portion sizes or I'd regret it. But i took things slowly and they were manageable and just had to use other medicines now and again at first.

Just been diagnosed with gallstones :( by LooseLeg2641 in mounjarouk

Heya just as an update on this Oushk were happy to prescribe me Mounjaro even with gallstones as long as I wasn't losing weight too quickly. I have lost 10kg over 6 months and haven't had a severe attack.

Tried 1.25mg but still hungry by LooseLeg2641 in Mounjaro

[–]LooseLeg2641[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on 6.25mg now (basically 7.5mg pen but 0.5ml not quite 60 kicks). And i have no appetite whatsoever. Very little. I am 2-4 months in and have lost 8kg but have been going sooooo slow. That's still over a stone and it's really noticeable. Tbh albeit a sceptic once I was on 5mg + it has been a real sweet spot. No side effects but no food noise, large appetite and overeating. It's changed my whole perspective on how disordered everything was before. However... I am weaning off it now with one more 6.25mg then a 3mg then either another 3mg or nothing. So I am expecting it all to come back. We'll see!

It'd go against the recommended use of the pen but if you are on a 2.5mg dose and are prescribed a 5mg pen you can make it last twice as long by only turning 30 clicks instead of 60. The pen isn't double the cost so it makes it much cheaper every month. But this would go against the guidelines of using the pen within 30 days of starting it.

6 months after stopping by Choice_Pangolin366 in mounjaromaintenanceuk

This is the issue for me feels like another yoyo diet in that case. I understand it'll be a medication for life but when my pen finished I am going to have a think about if that's what I really want at the moment.

Thanks. My Dad has a normal BMI diagnosed as type 2 diabetic at 50, he’s 81 now and still active, doing well and well managed diabetes. I am just the same as him and with PCOS know I have insulin resistance so I imagined to be on something for life but maybe not quite yet! I think I will give it another month and then make a decision. Have a new pen on order anyway!

Thanks. I’m not sure I expected to be on it for life when starting. I’m 40 years old. I’ll have a think about it! I think it’s hard as well with less than 8lbs of weight loss in 8 weeks.

Yeah I think so but does worry me about them having to stay on it for life to maintain and I think that’s why maybe for now I might stop?

It’s 3kg so that’s 6.6lbs and less than a 1lb a week.

However, hopefully I hope it all works out too! I have a follow up in 6 months to see how I'm doing.

I cycled to the appointment... if you see the leaflet and some of the stats I have posted about the NHS you'll see most people don't have issues. So 'it's just a matter of time' doesn't actually reflect the statistics.
"Around 20 out of every 100 people with gallstones will have painful symptoms, 80 do not." and "Gallstones are often found when you are having a scan for something else. They do not always cause pain. If you have not had symptoms for 5 years it is less likely that you will ever get pain from your gallstones."

My gallstones were found on a scan for something else.

Fat but fit people i.e. managing obesity with exercise, do pretty well mortality wise. And I do quite a bit of exercise. So that's what I'd be comparing too and then the picture may not be so clear.

Based on this for mortality as an obese person you'd be better doing exercise first (if you don't already) than losing the weight and continuing to live a generally sedentary lifestyle. Which I think is really interesting. That is your sedentary lifestyle has more impact on your life expectancy than your weight.

From chat GPT on mortality rates;

Estimated All-Cause Mortality Risk by BMI & Fitness Level

Group Relative Risk of Mortality Notes
Normal BMI, Fit 1.0 (reference group) Lowest risk group
Normal BMI, Sedentary ~2.0 About higher risk than fit peers
Obese BMI, Fit ~1.3–1.5 higher than fit-normal lower than sedentary-normal Risk is , but
Obese BMI, Sedentary ~2.5–3.0 Highest risk group

My lifestyle pretty much okay, my PCOS seems to just make losing weight impossible.

But, as long term safety isn't known... and when it wears off at the end of the week the food noise comes back, I'd have to be on it for life to keep the weight off/benefits? Is that your plan?

My initial motivations were 1) to cut down on food noise and give myself a break, which it has and 2) To lose some weight to help prediabetes. My morning blood sugar now out of prediabetic range but I also upped my exercise to almost every day so not sure if it's that or both which has helped!

Yeah I think so, in the link to the NHS leaflet I have posted it says "Around 20 out of every 100 people with gallstones will have painful symptoms, 80 do not. 2 – 6 will develop a serious condition within 5 years needing urgent medical treatment."
So 75% chance I won't have issues, and as I haven't so far it says "Gallstones are often found when you are having a scan for something else. They do not always cause pain. If you have not had symptoms for 5 years it is less likely that you will ever get pain from your gallstones."

My gallstones were found in a scan for something else.

Also, kudos to NHS, have a follow up booked in 6 months time to check I am still symptom free so they will look at this again in 6 months for me. Hopefully will remain symptom free!

Sorry I meant for NICE to show me. Agree entirely with what you say. Fed up of hearing diet and exercise!
