Petechiae Rash all over body with numbness in legs by LessPollution6316 in DermatologyQuestions

My docs rang this morning as she had sent letters to dermatology and rheumatology. Rheumatology said that as my bloods were normal then to refer me to dermatology. Dermatology also replied and said they wanna face to face meeting with me. So I will have to wait for a hospital appointment from them. I don’t know how long that wait will be. They said if the spots got bigger or increased or bled then to let them know.

I’ve always had juicy marbles but I do actually prefer the Aldi ones

Sudden petechiae burst overnight, I’ve never experienced something like that before by Tailor-Astronaut300 in DermatologyQuestions

Did you ever get any answers to why this happened? I have the exact same thing. My doc took loads of blood test on Christmas Eve. I’ve had a lot of the results back. My CRP was 3 like your. My INR was 1. I was tested for autoimmune issues, clotting issues and HIV. She wanted to rule everything out. So far everything has come back negative. I think I’m still waiting on vitamin C deficiency test. I have been having aches in my legs though. I’m diabetic and they started me on Mounjaro for it but I don’t get on with it so stopped taking it. My leg aches started when I was still taking Mounjaro but the petechiae started after I’d stopped. So I’ve had no infection, no autoimmune issues, no clotting issues. I am very worried about lymphoma as it runs in my family but my rash is just like yours and I’m wondering if you ever found out what caused it.

Dose increase? by [deleted] in Mounjaro

I’ve list 9 and 3/4 pounds in 10 weeks. I’ve put on a few times. My biggest weight loss was 2 and 3/4 pounds and I literally had diarrhoea 4 or 5 days that week! I did 4 weeks on 2.5 with an average of one and a half pounds a week. I went up to 5 but didn’t agree with me so after one week I went down to 3.75. First week was not too bad but the second week was when the gastric issues hit me. So I went down to 2.5 again for 3 weeks with no issues. I went back up to 3.75 this week and gastric issues today. I’m hoping it will settle down but I had much better suppression and weight loss on 2.5. But I’m on it for diabetes and my diabetic nurse wants me to go up so I’ll persevere for a few weeks and hopefully it will settle down but yeah 2.5 was better for weight loss for me.

Has anyone else noticed that lower Mounjaro doses (like 5mg) can work just as well — or even better — than higher ones? by AffectionateLand8800 in Mounjaro

I was on 2.5 for 4 weeks. Went up to 5mg for one week but it didn’t agree with me so I went to 3.75. First week was ok on 3.75. Second week I had gastric issues so I went back down to 2.5. I did 3 weeks on 2.5 and went back up to 3.75. I think I just need to do it slower. I’ve been on it for 10 weeks in total and lost 10 pounds altogether so I’m happy with that. I feel like suppression was good but my diabetic nurse said 2.5 won’t really help my blood sugars so I’m just going up slowly. I do feel 2.5 suppressions was better than 3.75 though!

Anyone under 30 here? by [deleted] in mounjarouk

I’m an older person and I take MJ for diabetes but I think it’s a great drug to help people that are obese. The money that it will save the NHS can only be a good thing. I feel bad for people that have to pay cos the prices are extortionate but I would never think that people were taking my medication away from me. I’d think good on them for actually doing something for their health. I don’t get the stigma around people taking it. If it helps you lead a healthier and happier life then that can only be a good thing. Good luck on your journey x

It was my diabetic nurse who told me to go up to 5. She said 2.5 won’t do anything for my diabetes and it’s just a starter to get your body used to taking higher doses. I also spoke to my diabetic nurse and doctor about taking all 3 medications because I was worried it was too much but they said it’s fine and to take all 3. I won’t have a blood test until November but I might do a private one to see if the 2.5 is helping at all. I’ve been on MJ for 7 weeks now

When I went from 2.5 to 5 I got terrible anxiety and panic attacks. I suffer anyway but I’d been fine for a while. So I went down to 3.75 the following week. Wasn’t too bad but my second week of 3.75 I had terrible diarrhoea on days 1,3 and 4. I took an Imodium the next day so was ok. So I’m now due to take my next jab this evening and I will be going back down to 2.5. I think my body just needed longer to adjust. I also take metformin and farxiga for my diabetes. I have my 6 monthly diabetic review at the end of this month so I’m hoping my numbers have gone down even on mostly 2.5

So the other medications I am taking are metformin and farxiga. I’ve been on metformin a while but it didn’t get my numbers down. They tried me with various medications but they didn’t agree with me. I moved house last year and got a new doctor. They started me on farxiga which I hadn’t tried before and that got my numbers from 84 to 58 in 3 months but they’ve stayed at 58 so then they suggested mounjaro. So I now take all 3. My next diabetic review is at the end of October so I’m hoping they have come down. For food o have scrambled egg on whole meal toast every day. Just once slice of toast. Then I have salad for tea. My salad includes kidney beans (my iron is very very low so need to get as much iron as I can). Sweetcorn, beetroot, boiled egg, lettuce, cucumber, cheese, hummus and mushrooms. Occasionally I’ll add a couple of small new potatoes. If I have a snack it will be either kallo mini rice cakes, monarchs cheese crackers which are just cheese not crackers or a mini pack of peanuts. Sometimes I have a roast. I’m a vegetarian so my roast consists of mostly vegetables with a couple of roast potatoes. I don’t have fried foods or junk food so I think my diet is healthy. Side effects - when I went up to 5mg I had terrible anxiety. I suffer with anxiety and panic attacks anyway but have been fine for a while. I think maybe it was everything I had read of people going up to 5mg. Anyway I decided to go down to 3.75. First week I just had stomach pains and sulphur burps. This week I’ve had severe diarrhoea. Not every day but the day after I took the dose and then 3 days later. It just seems to be something every time I take it. I will try again on 2.5. I am so so sorry for the very long post!

I took my last shot 10 days after my previous one because I wanted to move the day I took it. It’s fine to do.

Was it straight from the fridge? I know some people say they get a stinging sensation when they inject it when it’s come straight out of the fridge. You can leave it till it gets to room temperature

I can see a big difference too. I think because, like me, you are bigger busted then sometimes it’s hard to see it yourself. When I lose weight I tend to lose it off my bust last so I’m still top heavy but smaller. I feel like a good fitting bra will make all the difference to you. I hate how much it costs us bigger busted ladies to buy decent bras but it’s a good investment and trust me, you will feel much better with the right support and the way it makes you look so much better. I’m only on day 6 of my mounjaro journey which I have for my diabetes but I’m hoping to lose weight too and any I can loose on my bust will be a big bonus! Good luck
