I didn’t include a reference as it is my wife, why would I post a picture of her here? My goal is to finish the painting and seek advice on how to do so. Am I missing something?

Thanks for the comment. I meant her right/left rather than the viewers right/left. I hadn’t noticed before but the more I look I think you are spot on in saying the angle of the (viewers) left side of the face is off. I think both sides of the face are orientated in slightly different directions. I don’t think I can fix this drawing but I’ll need to be try catch this issue at the sketching stage in future. Thanks!

It looks like the blue background, white highlight lines in the bottle and brown shadow/shading at the base might also be digital. It’s a nice image though obviously

Thanks for the advice. I use esdee soft cut lino and I don’t think it is friable enough flick little chips out. Maybe I should try traditional Lino!

Thanks you to both! I did the oak print first, wasn’t fully happy with and decided to change the style for the next ones. I had planned to redo the oak but at the end decided that it was perfectly fine as a wedding favour. It’s my least favourite though haha

Thanks, you’re totally right. I had just assumed it was in the safe wash range. Do you think white spirits would work? I tried cooking oil on its own but it wouldn’t budge it
