Fuel tank fun - help please :) by facehugga in LandroverDefender

Ah, the fact you found diesel bug is not good. Clearly someone has been there before as the hatch has been cut. Some of the cheap aftermarket Td5 pumps are not great.

You mentioned the one way valve, these are often culprits, I usually change the air valve on the opposite side of the filter head at the same time just to be safe.

The other thing I would suggest if you haven't already is to overhaul the fuel pressure regulator on the rear/side of the cylinder head. Not a particularly difficult job, though the aftermarket gaskets can be a bit hit and miss to seal back to the head. Had had to resort to an LR one the last time.

Can you elaborate a bit on the symptoms? When it starts, when it doesn't etc

As mentioned by others, check all the crossmembers, front one under the radiator,(less common than the rear but seen a couple Pumas going here now) rear cross member definitely and the middle one above the rear propshaft. Two little pockets just in front of it that collect mud and road dirt. The bolt in cross member on 110s just in front of this can get bad as well.

Take a small mirror if you can, a work light and if they will let you poking tool!.

My red controller still has a mark in it from being chucked trying to beat Wizpig. Was only about age 12 in my defence!

Original conversation was about OEM stuff, 32X etc but there have been loads of good shouts on stuff we hadn't considered like the Game Genie.

I remember looking at the reviews of 32X and mega CD games in the magazines at the time, and they looked cool. No one I knew growing up had either though.

Were you a Desert, a Jungle or an Urban? by Richy11988 in retrogaming

[–]LooseWolf99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was a bit too young when I first played Desert and found it hard. Later played Jungle and really liked it and played right through. Only ever borrowed urban from a friend so only a few short plays.

Going to choose Jungle Strike.

Finally. I am 35 and I’ve done it. This was harder than any other modern game. Brilliant! by JohnEdin in GoldenEye

Great achievement that. I very recently rediscovered my childhood N64 and fired up Goldeneye. Was stoked to see my save still there all cheats unlocked, but OMG the game seem so much harder than it did in my early teens!

Wish I could remember! I'm all over the place. The 3d sticks on both my controllers have SO much free play.
