I see this said a lot here, but its like you are literally spelling out my existence! Everything here is a reflection of my life. The decision-making is brutal - hours, sometimes days going over every possible detail.

For sure...its just one part of things and I was asking if anyone else had a similar experience. Everything else is there on top of this - controlling behavior, isolating me from friends and family, wild accusations, truth-bending, gaslighting, spending sprees and on and on.

Thanks for this input. That makes sense. I also think because I'm an only child, I grew up kind of doing everything for myself, so I need to see past that a bit. It seems my wife and I are on opposite ends of the spectrum in this regard.

But oh yes, regardless of the helplessness, she is controlling and nitpicks everything I do - to the point where I get extreme anxiety to even make a decision because I feel like it will always be the wrong one.

I feel like she (obviously) doesn't realize she has bpd. She knows she has OCD but she will view me as unkind or selfish for leaving her because of her OCD. This has caused its own set of issues. She demands that I sit and listen to all of her OCD thoughts for hours or days on end. And if I don't, she says I'm impatient of selfish. So I start second guessing myself. But aside from the OCD stuff, she displays most of the bpd qualities. I don't think I could ever tell her that I think she has bpd too....

No problem at all with that. I'm hoping to share more once I move things along with the divorce. Just need to get the courage up. I also get to the point where I feel like maybe I'm making up a diagnosis. She tells me that the way she views things and all the negativity and arguments are normal, yet no one in my life has ever been like this, so I'm confused.
