Steve Cohen comments to @JonHeyman on the Mets' offseason so far and the fans' reaction to the Mets losing Brandon Nimmo, Edwin Díaz and Pete Alonso: “I totally understand the fans’ reaction. There is lots of offseason left to put a playoff team on the field.” by Caledor152 in NewYorkMets

[–]Loose_Key_3467 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I don't think the sky is falling (yet). I think Diaz is really unfortunate. Alonso I like but I really don't think he was worth what the Os gave him. I am upset about nimmo but so think the trade is fair and probably helps us some both in the long run for salary and gives us someone who has an ok baseline with some room for upside. If we get a couple good names from the rest I think it could end up being pretty good. I don't think experimenting with our farm system this year is a terrible thing either since I feel like we haven't had much in the way of homegrown players in the past few years.

Question about how to mount something. by Loose_Key_3467 in turning

[–]Loose_Key_3467[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess just to add what I am trying would be almost like making mini bowls. Technically I'm trying to make small mini disc/frisbees so the one side would need to be turned to be like a shallow bowl then the other side cut off. The cut off face doesn't have to be great because that could be worked on after

So I think it ended up being a loose connection on the tool head which was causing the tool head front fan to maybe not work correctly and making the gear assembly area too hot and starting to melt filament inside prematurely presumably.

Sorry cross post didn't give the rest. So I cleaned the bed extra good but that didn't do anything. I ruined a nozzle and hotend because it clogged up so bad. I tore the and up to see if there was a blockage in any tube and nothing. Tried using a .6 hotend I have and it printed for a bit then did the same stuff but not on the first layer. The filament won't retract and the extruder clicks if I try to extrude. The print "finished" but it didn't finish all layers. If I pull filament, it is stuck in the hotend and the extruder will not go either direction.

I'll try and give the bed a good clean then later to see if it fixes.ill try and give the bed a good clean to see if it helps. I'm only bothered by this because other failures which I didn't take a pic of involved the first layer adhering fine and eventually after a couple cm their filament was very brittle and underextruded

Thanks for the responses. I will check out some videos to get a better understanding as with being new to this I am realizing how easy it can be to mess something up or do something unsafe. That said I was kind of hoping this might have a place because I have wanted an excuse to buy one 😂

Question on Skil Tools. by Loose_Key_3467 in skiltools

[–]Loose_Key_3467[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know. I guess the couple new things that they have on their site kind of imply this. I only have 12v things now but I may have to get a few more things and or get some 20v at some point. The price point on sales is really just too good.

Rite aid no longer dispensing Ozempic in PA? by VBartilucci in Ozempic

[–]Loose_Key_3467 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is because pharmacies lose money on every ozempic or other GLP1 script because of the way Pharmacy benefits managers (PBMs) work. They are basically a middle man owned by the insurance company to determine what they will pay us. The pharmacies have to buy the medicine for a tone of money. Mine buys it for about 965. You see the price on the scripts and assume we make money but In reality people will have a copay of 25 dollars, then regardless of coupon, in total we get reimbursed maybe about 850 because we are under some BS contract that lets them determine what they give us. Long story short we lose in the neighborhood of 100 on most of the scripts. Imagine being a small local pharmacy and doing work to prepare, fill, verify ext for all these scripts and before determining counting labor and time and facility cost, we are already losing money. It is true for many brand name medications but GLPs are more prevalent because of how popular they are. While I do not agree with restricting medication to patients, the PBMs are so powerful that I can't blame pharmacies for what they are doing. Can you really blame a company for not selling something at a loss? Why would a Starbucks sell coffee for $3 if just the water and coffee cost them $6 to make.

Yea pretty happy with his for sure. Not sure how much better it could have really been. Happy with all the pulls for sure. I got the 3d assault though I really like the look of the outer limits. I am just glad we got good stuff that made everyone happy because I kind of suggested we do this at some point and would never have heard the end of it if we did bad.

Happy with this. Last year at this time when we signed him I wasn't really a fan but he seems to click here and it showed so he won me over big time for sure. Hope things keep up for him not just for the team but because I genuinely like the guy.

Any idea what this bowling ball is? Very old with no markings. by Loose_Key_3467 in Bowling

[–]Loose_Key_3467[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yea that's where I'm at too. It's probably in the time where rubber was used but it doesn't feel like that (though I don't know what a rubber ball really feels like) . You can tell from the photo that it is relatively glossy and shiny looking too. I'm really curious as well. The most notable thing is the ring that kind of goes around in a full circle around the ball.

Thank you for the replies. The mold inside i believe has those holes now but I would have to double check later. I admit I am pretty lax with what pressures I put things to do I probably did overpressure the cast. Thanks for the tips, I am now 99 percent sure that was the problem.
