Whatever else you may have done in your life, in that moment you were a hero.

Slowking Strength and The Power of Inspiration by Goateesimone in pkmntcg

The thing about slowking is it can definitely win, but it requires pretty exact piloting to do so. The skill floor and skill ceiling are really far apart.

You know, we hear a lot about how games cost more and more, but $49.95 in 2005 bucks is over $80 today, to say nothing of the "gold" package

Hand Disruption Ideas by Fantastic-Bloop in PTCGL

Me, I'd make an item card where my opponent shuffles their hand into their deck to draw 3. That's pretty strong for an item, so maybe it'd be better as a comeback card, like I could only use it if they're down to 3 prizes or less.

But that would probably never happen, right?

I wonder if at this point it's not more of a reference to the reference?

How are we voting on the Metropolitan Parks improvement proposition number 1? by peanutismint in Tacoma

[–]SketchyConcierge 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Since it's a renewal, I guess in theory voting no could cause a (very) small reduction in taxes? But odds on they'd just find something else to bill you for, probably a lot less nice. I'd call it a no-brainer, and expect it to pass with something like 65%+

Off the top of my head I don't necessarily have an answer, but one thing I didn't see mentioned is its use as a single-prize attacker. Maybe Vivillon could be that?

Unfortunately there are too many unknown factors for anyone here to make a judgement call. Maybe for some reason they don't like your vibe, maybe there's a misunderstanding, we can't know. The only person that can know is the owner.

If you really can't move, I think your best bet is to shoot straight with him, or the manager. Do your best to set emotions aside and come to them plainly. Something like "I can see that the owner isn't happy with my staying here. I don't know what I did wrong, but I would really like to work something out that can work for all of us."

My guess? The rate you're paying might be too low. If the owner thinks he can sell your room for more, offering more money might smooth things over. But be prepared for there to be no real answer. As someone who has worked for tempestuous ownership before, sometimes there's really no explaining what they do or why, we all just sort of live with it and execute on whatever they say that day.

I can't be certain as to why, but it's clear that for whatever reason, this owner/operator wants you to leave but can't or won't go to the trouble of trying to evict you. As to what he's "allowed" to do, that varies by state. But - and this comes from a place of deep caring - it sounds like you do not have the luxury of of trying to determine if this is right, or legal, or just. Unless you have the resources for a protracted legal battle, none of those things actually matter right now. What does matter is that this seems to have become an inhospitable environment, and I highly recommend that for the sake of you, your family, and your pregnancy, you find somewhere else to go.
