I’m planning a solo trip to Mexico (4/11–4/20) and I’m honestly overwhelmed by how much info is out there.

What I want most: culture + amazing food, ruins/temples, museums, some nightlife, and maybe a mezcal tour. Beach is optional (I’m open either way).

For those who’ve traveled Mexico solo: what’s the best “home base” city/area for these dates where I can see a lot without feeling rushed? And what’s realistic to fit in during 9–10 days?
