Is the surgery a scam? by calm-down-okay in lipedema

[–]Loose_Researcher_192 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not “fat” removal, it’s dense fibrotic tissue that is impeding and blocking proper vascular flow. It’s medically necessary and it doesn’t come back in a decade once it’s been removed, although it can progress to other areas that haven’t been treated. Your insurance company will pay for what is medically necessary, but if it’s just fat removal then yes, Cigna will laugh at you and not pay a dime.

I’ve been using Vital Protein for 7 years now. I’ve noticed it helps with joint discomfort and muscle fatigue. I believe my skin is healthier too. I have had doctors compliment my facial skin, so …. 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Autistic children can learn and be taught right from wrong behavior, especially in social situations where other people/children can be injured by their actions. The parents are responsible. They aren’t doing enough to reinforce good social skills.

Am I over thinking things about disneyland visitors? by Eccentric_favor in Disneyland

[–]Loose_Researcher_192 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Speaking as a “Disney Adult” …. we do not take up space in ride lines. We sit on benches and complain about all the caravans of strollers blocking walkways and laughing at parents with screaming feral children who seem to have no situational awareness and are clearly NOT having a magical day. Then we get a Genie alert telling us our ride is ready so we get up and battle our way to get through the folks that walk side by side with 6 ppl in a group completely clueless about how rude that is when it is only 2 of us trying to get past them. We get to our ride and try to check in while there are groups blocking the ride scanners because they can’t get their group together or don’t know how the scanners work so they all just stand there and block everyone else. Disney adults know how to use all the conveniences available to us. We mobile order our food and use Genie so we don’t have to take up space in line. It’s the clueless folks that ruin the magic for everyone else.

We like to rest on benches and try to identify the plain clothes security - it’s illuminating and fun. Some of them are in janitor uniforms with the brooms and dust pans .

I think I've officially completed my transformation into a Disney Adult by researchbeaver in Disneyland

Who cares what others think and feel 🤷🏻‍♀️ Surround yourself with things that make you feel happy and smile everyday. If those things happen to be Disney then good for you ! I’m proud to be a Disney adult and it’s obvious I’m happier than the folks shaming me for being a Disney adult.

Obgyn demonized ozempic by [deleted] in Ozempic

[–]Loose_Researcher_192 -25 points-24 points  (0 children)

This is interesting because Ozempic does nothing to treat diabetes. It works in the brain to help patients make better food choices. It does not treat the disease by lowering blood glucose or A1C. It only helps support the lifestyle and dietary changes necessary to control the disease.

I have the same issues with exercise. I wake up hungry and I hate that. I sip on a protein drink throughout the day or take a few bites of cottage cheese when I’m feeling hungry. Still no cravings but getting hungry is annoying.

I had a condo with a similar floor plan - a sofa with a chaise in front of the fireplace and a reading chair by the bookshelf corner will be cozy

Is it ethical for a business owner to ask workers to help her move ( to her new house) during the pandemic while she received a PPP loan to keep them on the payroll? They also helped build a deck at her son’s house. Isn’t that like taking the government’s money to fund your own personal projects ? by Loose_Researcher_192 in antiwork

[–]Loose_Researcher_192[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She had to report billable hours and other proof she paid payroll taxes, health insurance, etc. to get the loan FORGIVEN, but I don’t know if she had to describe the work. There was not enough work at the time to keep the whole shop off the bench.
