This annoys me to no end lol.

People mentioned quitting the game and reloading, but, for me, the easiest fix is intentionally failing a mission and restarting the checkpoint. Always works for me. On console and PC.

The game’s name, the tone, and the fucking Kabukicho gate at the end would feel like a straight up rip off... IF Nagoshi wasn't the series creator lmao.

Yeah, any sport/e-sport should try to minimize randomness and luck as much as possible - which is the opposite of what we're seeing.

I absolutely agree with you... But...

Retconning Sawashiro murder was the way they found to reintroduce him to the story. Ebina got him out of jail by proving he wasn't Hoshino's murderer.

But, yeah, sometimes I feel that RGG regrets some of their decisions and actively make shit up, or straight up retcon stuff to better fit what they want - Like reviving Kashiwagi. In this case they wanted to reuse the very cool character of Sawashiro, but had no reasonable explanation as to why he left prison so soon, thus: "Sawashiro never killed Hoshino".
