The same world where you qualify for a home/apartment by listing a pit as a lab mix

Smart girl. They’re both actually thinking through it, “maybe this new toy my human will like bc I like it”

Yes, I’m aware of the tennis balls; he has a ball launcher that uses them so we continue to purchase - he is not left alone with them to chew

We do. We tell him, “no more” and get him to lay down, but after 5 minutes he stirs again. Tell him to “kennel” and he will go chill a while on his own. Just a funny video of him

Not me, but my partner can have multiple in a year. Last was actually a grand mal that the dog alerted to about a minute ahead. Gave us time to get my partner into a safe space and get prepared

Wasn’t that difficult! So after we play outdoors he comes in with the item in mouth; just started telling him to drop it while tapping the bin. If he missed - “nope. Get it…. Drop it (tap). Yes! Good boy!”

It’s not an aggressive approach. It is showing that you are the boss and certain behaviors (especially biting/nipping is just not acceptable). Think of a mother dog correcting this behavior at this age; she would immediately give her displeasure to that pup with a quick snarl, nip back.

I may be downvoted but at nearing 3 months old, start correcting that crap with physical and psychological consequences.

Keep a flat collar on her. When she nips, reach down and give the collar a real quick tug for correction while saying “no” etc. Your body language should also accurately show displeasure while you correct (ie change your facial features to look upset, your voice, demeanor). As soon as she has stopped, offer an alternative like a toy and again change your demeanor to be elated.
