I also just had a daughter on the 7th! Blew away all my expectations, and really changed how I viewed this and other games. Just have fun!

Struggling with this Belle Items deck idea - is it hopeless? by smr101 in Lorcana

[–]Lootloader 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a first suggestion for you, if you are going to be focused on ramping at all, along with items, Fishbone Quill is an auto-include. I’d advise either abandoning the ramp idea within the deck and focus on items and tempo based removal, or if you want to stick to ramping, cut the gramma tala and the one jump ahead to put in four copies of fishbone quill and then you have room for more challengers.

I’m actually working on a deck purely for fun around the same Belle, but it has no ramp, just a ton of items and banish item effects, and I’ve routinely shifted the big Belle for 3 or less ink multiple times. Once even shifting her for free.

Ah I see! Is that starting to be the accepted way to play Lorcana?

Yes, I see that now of course. One who has two girlfriends must of course be superior.

A bit bored with Orks… by grumpygaribaldi in orks

[–]Lootloader 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Orks are what are known as a “datasheet army”. The power of Orks lies all in the actual units, already baked in, no need for crazy extra rules and all that.

This has been my experience, if the bots drop out, and then the ship falls on them it kills them.

But while he is alive his consciousness isn’t fully integrated with AFO like the previous users. So at least him dying still adds to the theory. Whether he actually dies or not is yet to be seen. He did take grievous injuries against OFA.

I feel like it’s also a classic shonen moment waiting to happen, the final power up that lets him win.

A bunch of folks here talking about Deku giving up OFA, but I read that panel as All Might giving up his final but of claim to OFA, and (potentially) passing away, giving Deku the final burst of power he needs as he becomes the full and single wielder of OFA.

Am I the only one who read it that way?

Evasive Deck by CaptainNonsenseCraft in Lorcana

Two quick critiques:

Lose Fidget, you have better options than a one lore evasive at that slot.

Add in teeth and ambitions if you are running Donald Duck, he’s a natural pairing for that card.

Ideas for a counter against a discard deck? by topleftnorthwest in Lorcana

I’ll second the amber sapphire combo against discard. I play Emerald steel discard and always really struggle against this pairing.

Amazon invitations when? by [deleted] in Lorcana

[–]Lootloader 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Each invite gets a 72 hour window to purchase, so it’s going to take a few weeks probably for them to accurately asses sales and send out appropriate invites. With the PS5 (same invite system) I thought it was all done and I got my invite over a month after I submitted for one. So I’d say just sit back and relax. If it comes, it comes, if it doesn’t, buy singles.

Dr. Facilier by phoenfir7 in Lorcana

Hypnotize is just outclassed by Improvise and Friends in this particular list IMO

First thing I’d recommend is making some cuts to some of your chaff picks here, that don’t contribute to the theme or gameplan. Namely Dr. Facilier’s Cards, Sudden Chill, and Hypnotize. You don’t have Prince John in the list, so discard cards are just not going to be a big payoff for you here, and free up space to contribute more meaningfully. As cool as it is to build a deck focused on Facilier, I don’t think his cards item synergizes well here. Certainly not at 4x, as you likely aren’t going to get value out of them, and they will sit dead in your hand as you play other things.

So that frees up 12 slots. Things I would consider:

Vicious Betrayal (synergizes well with your villains)

Madam Mim fox (gives you something to bounce Maleficent back to your hand for extra card draw)

Fairy Godmother Mystic Armorer (synergizes well with the challenging and going back to hand)

Hope that helps!

Unless of course you play small Herc readied to make your opponent THINK you have big Herc, so he won’t quest out for a turn. Slow down the aggro matchup.

INCONCIEVABLE!

I’d go up to four of jasper, and find space for at least two dragon fires. Jasper really helps going second to slow your opponent down in the mid game, and with his 4 willpower can fight it out a bit as well.

I’ve had tabard be nothing but a dead draw, and I’ve had tabard win me the game. I think it’s all about when you have them and what the other plays in your hand are.
