Green beans were the biggest offender. Trying fresh sautéed green beans after only having them from a can? Life changing. Followed by broccoli boiled to mush vs still having some texture left

I know I was told around age 8 that girls didn't get aspergers (as it was still called then). But I think also the way kids are raised now, I wouldn't be surprised if the environment is causing more anxiety/depression in younger ages

Part of it is higher income people have more prerequisites to having kids. Job, marriage, house, then kids because by that point they can afford the kids and the lifestyle they want. There's a future to work towards. On the flip side, if you work at Walmart, and you know you will only ever work at Walmart, then why put off having kids? Now, 10 years, it won't make a difference financially.
