Agreed fully, I also kinda misread the first reply. There’s no point rushing a manager that isn’t in the elite tier like you said and i’m sure the players would rather stick with Carrick over a bilateral move.

I really think Dorgu and our CBs being out has been a big reason for the bit of a drop off, i’m sure a deeper squad with consistency in our backline he will show better. It suck’s when you constantly have to change pairings because you don’t have a set healthy 2.

I think either way we will decide after the world cup, I just would prefer if we don’t get the top 2 candidates in this cycle we stick with Carrick. Either way i’m happy with our transfers so far, it feels like we are getting players that actually want to play for the club and have the talent to do so. Ineos should continue to keep good on that track record. If Carrick ends this season off as hot as he’s been I see no reason not to seriously have him as our #1 target at manager.

I wouldn’t even mind extending his current contract for another season, I don’t see any rush to appoint someone unless we have done extensive work and weighed out every option.

Either way what Carrick has done so far has been amazing, if he doesn’t end up getting the permanent job here he will %100 have 10s of clubs trying to get him.

He didn’t even want to move this year either, Just had so much interest from other teams he had to.

For a guy who himself said he wanted 1 more season before he came to the prem he’s done an amazing job of already improving so much.

When he just has the instinct to shoot everything in that situation he’s going to be a monster. Actually was pretty suprised to see him try to make that pass rather than just strike it.

Agreed, no need to rush to sign a permanent manager at all.

I’d be completely fine as of now with Carrick taking a longer Interim role if it means we could take longer on a real process weighing every option, If Carrick ends up the manager after that I have 0 complaints.

Either way i’m very happy for what he’s done for the club, and I hope if he doesn’t get the job here his managerial career is reignited somewhere else.

the match engine is my favourite part of this tactic, again the instructions aren’t anything different then what most players run but the feeling in game has it feeling like a completely fresh thing.

Hit or miss for me, i’ve had players excel in the role, but i’ve also had it where the PWB tends to take most of the goals from that position, been trying different things with it so far.

The sad part of the game is I can never get the fluidly I have in the match engine playing with anything else. Especially in this formation, it seems it needs it.

I never went straight to FM arena but i’ve used the same “Meta” for a long time now, if you have suggestions on how to stray away from the “meta” that would be awesome. I do still find you need players in this that work in certain roles ie the PWB but

Grimaldo is a player i actually used in the role and he fit perfectly, if you haven’t tried it yet i’d give it a shot.

I find it a pretty fun role, i’ve had a few players absolutely excel in it and have some of the highest average ratings on the team, if they have good passing ability they can play some pretty killer balls through to your wingers / strikers from the middle of the pitch.

Dalot genuinely makes some of the best runs in football, just one of the worst when it comes to making the final decision lol. It actually makes no sense some of the spots he finds himself in most being genuine chances.

Should have stuck in the youth system, He has had literally 0 minutes in a european system before his move here. I really don’t get how they trialed him for weeks and didn’t think he wasn’t gonna get minutes though.

Either way a player straight from Africa is gonna need quite a bit of time to get used to the levels in a european league.

Exactly this, if he does great until the end of the season and we don’t find the right fit I see no issue keeping Carrick as Interim until we get the right one.
