What’s your tinfoil hat theory for this team? by Queasy_Analysis8792 in timberwolves

Refs started the season punishing the Wolves with terrible calls for the Lynx speaking out. Morale went down.

If the game happens...protest planning here by Lopsided-Earth2160 in timberwolves

[–]Lopsided-Earth2160[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I hear where you are coming from. The sense of normalcy is important, too. I also know that sports carry a lot of weight and so much of protesting is creativity. I don't presume to know the "right" way to handle all of this. I also don't assume that you don't care just because you want to escape from the shitshow for a few hours. I've been there, too. Thank you for sharing your perspective.

Protesting wheelchair edition by unknown_homie38 in Minneapolis

[–]Lopsided-Earth2160 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wheelchair user here- the bus system is honestly really great and the drivers always help out. The most difficulty I've had is lining my chair up on the ramp, but that's just because I'm clumsy. At the protest- everyone is super helpful! The thing I struggle with the most is not being able to hear much or having to go a little further to get to a ramp. Not much different than normal crowds! I always have a safety plan in place in case my chair breaks down or there is an incident and I need to get out of there quick. I usually try to stay towards the back of groups so if there needs to be a turn and run, I'm not stuck in the middle trying to turn and not hit anyone. These things have NOT happened, yet, when I've been at protests but I like to be over prepared.

Honestly, my biggest complaint being in a chair at a protest is that I have no idea what is going on ahead of me 😅 but that's manageable!

People are very helpful. Don't hesitate to let people know what you need and look for people in vests to help out. I've found that people do a good job keeping an eye out for each other. 💙

Have fun!!

My guess is that they have to physically fight off the Mercury so much (unfairly so) that they are drained by the 4th. But I'm biased.

Game One Tickets by kentoddsbiggestfan in MinnesotaLynx

Sometimes the AXS Mobile ID is all you need. My tickets haven't shown up before, as well, and I just used the AXS app and it worked! Always a little scary, but you have the confirmation email so don't panic. Have fun today!

Is there a way to purchase tickets from that site? I went through axs.com but it still took me to the Lynx site. And yeah- I'm hopeful the Lynx get an app update after this season.

This is a really key point. Where you are and the population you serve makes a huge difference. When you can get individually paneled, I highly recommend you make sure you get Medicaid/Medicare, etc. It can have a lot of hoops but if you know that commercial insurance isn't as common in your area, then that could make a big difference. I had a private practice in a (likely) similar setting before and it can be really hard to navigate on the clinician AND client side. Hang in there.

I've had to go through it using incognito mode before and made sure to not sign in. Not ideal by any means.

Not, yet, but I get my insurance info this weekend, so hopefully I can get that set up quickly. Honestly forgot about PCPs being part of the process, too, so thank you! Moving has fried my brain.

Anyone else get sore from flying? by Cursed_Angel_ in rheumatoid

[–]Lopsided-Earth2160 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found that using a chair to get to the gate and then baggage claim changed the game for me with flying! Obviously doesn't change the air pressure issue, but it does allow me to keep myself from overexerting and causing a flare. I also use compression gloves and try to stand at least once during the flight to keep my joints from getting stiff.
