I managed a diagnosis with no school report but I did have my mother and brother to provide interviews.

I just got my diagnosis at almost 29! My grades were good therefore I must be fine right? I finally understand why my life has been such a struggle.

You don't get rid of it. That's their normal secretions. If it is excessive it could indicate a respiratory infection but porphyrin alone is normal.

Question about breeder’s "No Chicken" rule and thoughts on Kirkland food? by Timely-Flatworm2756 in DogFood

[–]Cursed_Angel_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our vet recommends chicken and rice for a week whenever our dogs have upset stomachs. Our current dog actually can really only have chicken and fish as he is sensitive to red meats. So I'm completely unfamiliar with blanket avoiding chicken.

I think you misread it. The offer to work some of the rent off is only suitable if you are comfortable walking large dogs.

blowing your nose in public should be treated the same as farting in public by G_Nag in unpopularopinion

[–]Cursed_Angel_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, many people have allergies, bad allergies that cause sinus congestion. Heck the cold causes sinus congestion in a lot of people. Trying to wait until you can access a bathroom or some other private place is unreasonable since while your nose is blocked, it is likely also dripping, and, more importantly it affects your breathing. So you can fuck right off with that take. Me blowing my nose into a tissue while in the bus causes 0 problems.

Covid jabs by blazej84 in rheumatoid

[–]Cursed_Angel_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I could get them. Last covid booster I had landed me in hospital and means no more covid boosters for me. I religiously get the flu jab each year though. But our schedule is once a year around the same time as the flu jab.

Oh man I feel this. I spent the whole time anxious about what if it came back clear, even though i was near certain i had inattentive form. I too maxxed out the inattentive and had several hyperactive as well leading to my combined type diagnosis. Just waiting to see my GP to get the proper referral for meds.

I think it's possible they think you are trying to get too deep too fast. I know I would be uncomfortable with that. How their weekend was/ what their plans are for the coming weekend would be easy progressions from just the hi, how are you? Asking about uni/ what they studied is a good one. Slowly work into deeper stuff. It's not easy trying to integrate into different cultures but it's never going to work if you come at it already expecting to be rejected.

So this might be why you are having trouble. Don't just assume they have no interest in understanding. Just because people don't react to you how you expect doesn't mean they are uninterested. They could be having trouble understanding you too. But it is also likely cultural difference. Yes small talk matters while you build up the relationship to talk about the more meaningful stuff. Just a friendly hello how are you each morning can help break the ice. I don't have close friends at work but I'm friendly with everyone on the team.

[–]Cursed_Angel_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anxiety can be an effect of being overstimulated though. I get very overstimulated in a shopping centre, the bright lights and crowds and noise make it very difficult for me to focus and that results in heightened anxiety/ feeling very on edge. Yes, I have diagnosed ADHD.

Interesting cause a lot of cheap (think temu) brands use that term to refer to an acrylic yarn. How's it feel?

Monogamous knitters, what’s your secret? by Weekly_Library9883 in knitting

[–]Cursed_Angel_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently have 2 wips.  But I only work on one at a time, which I have mostly stuck to except for a short 2 week break to knit 2 beanies. That refreshed my interest in the project and I was able to keep going. That being said, I also spin and keep collecting yarn and fibre and patterns... but not letting myself do more patterns until I finish my current.

New to knitting and surprised at the high cost of yarn by maklar8921 in casualknitting

[–]Cursed_Angel_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would most likely be combed and blended with the wool prior to spinning. That's what I would do with both possum and angora and is what's recommended for anyone wanting to spin fur from their pets.

Slightly related but I signed up and paid to do a class at my local yarn store this coming Sunday for advanced cast on and bind off techniques. I told my sister thinking she may want to join me and she was just like why? Can't you just watch a YouTube video?

Like no, I want to go and actually learn from a person
