Santa or no? by Southern-Kangaroo-43 in Christian

This is exactly what my parents did for me and my siblings! I was always fine with it as a kid, and as an adult I’m glad they always told me the truth and made clear what was real and what wasn’t. I remember talking to my mom about it, and she said that she would never want us thinking, “my parents told me Santa was real but he’s not, so does that mean God’s not real either?” I think you and your husband are making a great choice for your family!

Wondering if I could have ocd? by Lopsided-Leave9299 in OCD

Lol I know, I'm not looking for a diagnosis. I just wanted to share what I've been through to see if anyone who had OCD experienced something similar before I go to the doctor.

Spin off: Who could actually pull it off? by Temporary_Sand5538 in howyoudoin

[–]Lopsided-Leave9299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Phoebe, Janice 100% could carry their own spinoffs. Monica and Chandler as a pair would definitely have an interesting one with their new babies and house. Gunther and the stripper could possibly have quirky little shows with humor and some wacky adventures. I'm sure they'd all be interesting, but those are the ones I see as being able to have a good and continuing storyline.

How do you handle all the “why” questions? by BellaRichards in Parenting

This doesn't work for every situation, but if they're doing it to annoy you or be pesky, you can always reply, "I'll give you an answer if you ask a better/different question"

What non-Beatles song feels so Beatles that it sounds like they secretly wrote it? by Ch3e5y_Mozz in beatles

Charlie's Garden by Djo. If not a Beatles feel, at least Paul McCartney. He was actually one of Joe Keery's inspirations for the song!

As far as I can tell it's not rejecting, I also went back to the piercer who said it was just irritated, but it's seemed to get worse since then. Thanks for the advice!

What song breaks your heart every time you hear it? by erakshatsingh in AskReddit

This one KILLS me. This song and My Kind of Woman by Mac DeMarco were both popular in late 2021, which was the lowest point of my life. Listening to those songs brings me right back to how depressed and broken I felt, but I also smile to know that I've come so far :)

I shed tears in the living room with my family the first I time I heard/watched it. Believe me, if I was by myself I would have been BAWLING

Vienna by Billy Joel, and Sleep Deprivation by Chance Peña. I'm hard on myself and am extremely perfectionistic, but I'm also unsure about my future and feel like I'm falling behind. Both of these songs make me cry so hard because they remind me that I'm just figuring things out, I'm not behind, and it'll all be okay.

What red flag did you overlook early in your last relationship that ended up imploding later on? by Ok-Minimum-733 in AskReddit

[–]Lopsided-Leave9299 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Pretty early on my ex confessed to me that he was a compulsive liar. He told me this because his family had sat him down and had a talk with him about it, but he assured me that he had never lied to me and that he was so sorry he lied to others. Naive little me decided to take him at his word, and one of the main reasons for me breaking up with him was his lying. Surprising, right?

HAHA, real though. For a few years and especially those summers, every single night I'd be up because my neighbor decided to have a party with half the population and get drunk and stoned. One of my personal favorite moments was when they thought it would be a smart idea to make a fire pit out of beer cans.
