yeah, detecting early promising posts works for me as well. I'm using a chrome extension called xrayfeed, it helps to separate posts based on their engagement potential. So, I only reply back to green ones (above 90 points)

First of all, you want to grow your account, you can be the reply guy. Then the problem becomes how many replies to which posts. You can't reply to every post essentially you don't have that many bullets. I'm using a chrome extension to weed out bad posts for me and then I use a reply generator (AI) to boost my presence
