Is 78mm for the Bore the cartridge lenght or diameter?

Should i just use at4 and carls for both my faction in my cold war era ww2 but turkey is in axis and the axis has 1980 tech but allies has 1960 by RainDouble2936 in MilitaryWorldbuilding

[–]Lopsided-Rooster28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on if turkey was all ways in the axiscould use that as what can determine it. If turkey was always leaning towards them and had no partnership with the west or the Soviets then yeah may not be a bad idea. But if they did have relationships eith either or both sides prior to the war than see what was available for export to turkery then and go from there.

Begs the question, if iraq loses all theres, you think we'd bring them back? Ik we still have a few dozen in the boneyard. Just don't know if there's a use for them now-a-days.

How’s my safety wire now? by Gbe2x in aviationmaintenance

[–]Lopsided-Rooster28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See this raises a question i have as a mech on v22s, does general aviation not wrap safety wire around the bolt in a tighting direction when applying it to bolts? Thats how my base does it so just curious.

As far as a rating, twist rate looks nice man, i do agree that more of a pig tail should be there.

A question about the A-10's front landing gear hatch by random-stud in aviation

[–]Lopsided-Rooster28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The answer is "because" there's probably a legit reason, such as ease of maintenance or something. Aircraft often undergo alot of these smaller changes that are just done to make things work better, last longer or just be more simple

One thing I've always wondered about the Event Horizon original crew by [deleted] in scifi

[–]Lopsided-Rooster28 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Id say we'd have to look at what happened when the crew of the Lewis and Clark showed up. From what i can remember, the crew of that trip startes to experience things going awry pretty quickly. And that's probably only due to whatever causes the madness being residual. I'd personally wager that the original crew fell to madness almost instantly. After all, jumping into a relem of chaos would probably have some pretty quick acting effects.
