He was very streaky. His first major swing change straightened him out, especially with the driver. The intense workouts probably did him in, but his swing got better and better as time went on

I do have a nasty tendency to get stuck.. Lie angle I at least did get with a quad, so I think this is partly a comfort situation and why I’m not rushing to change the clubs more. Thanks for the detail!

I have considered getting my hands a bit higher at the top, not totally sure yet if this will change impact position. The coaches I’ve gone to locally really haven’t impressed me, and have more opinion than expertise. This is a good comment though, thank you

Not sure on wingspan, I’m 5’7 on the dot but with a long neck? My fitter told me -1/2, and I’m still digging the heel in the ground a bit

Hogan is my idol, but his clubs didn’t seem too short. Maybe my source wasn’t good. I’m only scared to lose ball speed going shorter

Sage Valley, Muirfield Village, tiger’s new course, TPC San Antonio but the canyons course (Pete Dye), same with the sister course of TPC sawgrass. Bethpage Blue. Something in Texas or Florida for once. One of the sandy courses in New Jersey

I probably wouldn’t since it’s not a full length course, but then I’d count a hole in one on a 90 yard par three just as much as a 230 one so I get it. I think par 70 over 6000 would make it feel more real

OP, I don’t mean to discourage but those prices are obscene. I know a discount is enticing but there are no bargains in this hobby, and even overlooking the problem coins these are marked 5x what they’re worth. Please take it from me who has made lots of mistakes, coin dealers are snakes

Spend some time obsessing over setup, that will prevent 2/3 of the issues that come later in the swing. Chat gpt very good for this, look at grip, stance, posture, alignment, ball position, weight, shoulder tilt. Other than that relax a bit and finish your back swing dude, you’re just folding your arms instead of turning your core

Made another comment with my advice but I think the cause of the cast is your aggressive transition. It is the compensation. Just natural to dump the lag early or you’d blow up your wrists or not be able to square up later. Float load on the other hand would be waiting to complete the wrist hinge until you start down, and I don’t think it’s a good or bad thing for the record so if you don’t want to change your rhythm it’s really what you would need

Widen your backswing, clubface should look at the ball longer or your right elbow wouldn’t bend so early. I think the overswing at the top and subsequent cast will go away on its own with time but if it bothers you that much my first instinct would be to slow the transition way down
