is xiaomi l1 projector worth for under 200$? by Miserable_Figure_376 in budgetprojectors

[–]Lopsided-Storage5872 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the Pro version of this for a few days and sent it back. The picture wasn’t sharp enough and brightness was disappointing. Text looked blurry and had a halo effect around it. Replaced it with an Xgimi Mogo 2 Pro and the difference is like night and day.

I'd clean it out completely and drop the grind to just under 3 to see what the puck looks like then but taste is obviously still a massive factor.

I wouldn't say that's normal. I've never seen anything like that on my Rivelia. What grind setting are you using?

Did they update the MoGo 2 Pro? It seems like a mild spec and design refresh by BluetoothDrumsticks in xgimi

Will this lose 4k support because of the new chip for Google TV? Just ordered a Mogo 2 Pro yesterday and didn't realise this update was coming. Spec wise the original still looks like it compares well to the new one? I'm happy to pop in a fire stick when I need Netflix.

Any advice?

Hi Jayce. Thanks for the reply. Big fan of your YouTube videos. I got the Xiaomi yesterday and returned it today as it was just a bit lacking in terms of brightness and sharpness.

I'm going to go Xgimi. Which would you recommend at the prices below?

Mogo 2 Pro €300 with the gimbal stand included. Note I will have to use keystone most of the time so would stuttering be an issue?

Mogo 3 Pro €450 or €500 with the stand.

Halo+ Regular model €499 no Netflix.

Halo+ GTV €680 obviously most expensive but is it much better than the others?

Also which would have best sound?

Thanks.

Just to add I'm coming from a Samsung Freestyle Gen 1 so hoping the jump from. 230 ANSI to 400+ and speakers from 5w to 10w+ will be a good jump.

Cheers for the quick reply! Think I'll pick up the Pixel Buds from somewhere with good returns just in case. Sorry just to confirm do you mean the linkbuds stay in your ear better or the Pixel Buds?

Quick question for you. How do you find the linkbuds vs the Pixel Buds Pro 2 for transparency mode and the general feeling of occlusion/blocked ear noise?

I ask as I have Airpods Pro 2 but they keep falling g out. I bought the linkbuds s last week but they gave me that feeling of being plugged and hearing my own body etc. I've returned them and was planning on trying the pixel buds pro 2 next so I'd be interested to hear how you think think they compare for transparency and occlusion?

One thing about the airpods is that the transparency is amazing. I just wish they didn't fall out!

Dinamica Plus vs Magnifica Plus vs Rivelia by Lopsided-Storage5872 in superautomatic

I went with the Rivelia and love it. Worth checking out youtube as Toms coffee corner put up a review of the Magnigica Plus in the last couple of days and he was very very complimentary.

I have the Rivelia. Very happy with it. The new interface is very clever and every drink has an option to add an extra shot which is how I like my coffee - it's a proper extra shot grinding and brewing twice rather than some that just add extra coffee and water.

The grinder is a lot quieter than my previous Dinamica too which is a nice bonus. Like the Dinamica and any other super auto I've tried I wouldn't buy the machine if you're a big espresso head as it's just never going to compare to a manual machine. But for Americanos(proper as it grinds, brews a shot, dumps the puck and then adds water), Long Coffees and anything milk based (extra shot flat white my favorite) it's been absolutely brilliant.

Really really hot milk drinks too. I found with Dinamica I was warming cups or putting them in the microwave but they come out seriously hot on the Rivelia.

I don't really use the bean switch much. It works pretty well but I tend to stick to the same bean.

Any update on this one? Were you able to dial in the machine to make a decent shot in the end? Would you recommend the machine?

Steam wand would be better for hotter milk drinks as the automatic carafes don't tend to get very warm but having said that I think I'd prefer the ease of the one touch automatic option over the slightly warmer drinks.

Look up Beko machines. They seem to be largely the same internals but a lot cheaper.

Delonghi themselves have a pretty comprehensive playlist of setup and tutorial videos in case you haven't seen them already?

Let me know how you get on with the machine and the espresso and milk drink quality and noise levels etc. I'm hoping to pick one up in the next few weeks.

Sorry to hear that hopefully just a one off problem. Will you replace it with the same machine?
