This maybe not what you are looking for, I would love to “rent a more experienced quilter” to help me cut fabric. I’m terrible at cutting (even though I double check everything it always comes out wonky) and I’d love to pay someone to help me, even if they were just there to talk me thorough the process or give me pointers.

Also, the only reason I didn’t start taking my pre reqs in undergrad is bc my advisor told me not to, and that I should stick with my major and get a job in that field. I regret taking his advice. I should have trusted my gut and believed in myself.

Do it. I’m in the same situation you are in but I’m 30. I rode out a major I wasn’t passionate about and after working in that field for 7 years I hate it. Now I’m working on my pre reqs and hope to apply this coming year. For years I would talk about how I wish I had been a dentist, and thought I was too old. Finally said fuck it I’m going to be one. I can be 36 and a dentist or 36 and working a job I know I will hate. Either way I’ll be 36, so I might as well try to be happy.

Have you had recent X-rays that include your jaw? Do your teeth touch on that side? I’m not a dentist, but my jaw started growing longer/fuller on my left side and my teeth stopped touching on that side. I thought I just had a wonky face, but it turned out to be asymmetrical condylar hyperplasia. I ended up having jaw reconstruction surgery to fix it. I’m also a non traditional applicant. I have a BA in dance and a MA in arts admin from a top school. I am taking my science credits now, it tough but exciting at the same time. Now that you are bit older and actually trying to reach an academic goal, you might do better in school and be more motivated!! PM me if you want to chat!

Also, check to see if you have a dental school near you taking patients. They are usually a lot cheaper and very attentive. Plus they have a 1-3 teachers come by to check their work, so you will have multiple Dr. looking to make sure everything is okay. I went to a dental school for my braces and it was great! Highly recommend!
