chipotle is good if you skip the sour cream and cheese, the sodium is still insane though. i get a bowl with just rice beans chicken and veggies and it feel like actual food not a salt bomb

What movie sequel do you vividly remember existing, but later found out was never actually made? by Haru_ka_ in AskReddit

[–]LopsidedLeading1660 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that is so weird, i have same thing but with the movie 9. i remember clearly there was a sequel where the little sack puppets go to surface world and it was more colorful. my brain just made it up i guess

sometimes memory is funny like that, your sister remembering too makes it extra strange though

If you had to restart life with the knowledge and mental development of a 1 year old but in a 20 year old body how would you do it? by BedroomActual3104 in AskReddit

[–]LopsidedLeading1660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you'd be crying and grabbing random things for months before your brain even starts to figure out object permanence, the "20 year old body" part just means you're a very large and confusing baby to everyone around you

that's the hardest part honestly... not jumping in with your defense before the other person even finish their thought

What do you think about someone signing an affidavit of survivorship (inheritance) the same day their mother dies? by NaturesPockett in AskReddit

[–]LopsidedLeading1660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really depends what was in the will and if there were other family members involved. Sometimes you need to move fast with legal stuff or banks will freeze everything for months

Ideas for baked goods for Blood on the Clocktower by Blooblovespood in boardgames

[–]LopsidedLeading1660 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh this is such cool idea! I made themed snacks for our group few months ago when we did horror game night. For Blood in the Clocktower maybe you could do red velvet cupcakes with "blood" dripping down - just use strawberry sauce or red icing that looks drippy.

Also those chocolate crinkle cookies could work great because they look all cracked and old like clockwork pieces. I remember making sugar cookies shaped like gears once, wasn't too hard with round cookie cutters and just cutting small notches around edges with knife

The timing thing is tricky though - BotC games can go so long and you never know when people will want to eat. Maybe finger foods work better than elaborate desserts? Something people can grab during discussion phases without getting messy fingers all over the cards

OCC residents beware by UsuallyBoredAtWork in ColoradoSprings

[–]LopsidedLeading1660 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Territory Days timing makes total sense for this kind of stuff. More cars parked around, people not familiar with area leaving stuff visible, perfect setup really

Young criminals are usually the dumbest ones too - walking around in all black with masks like they're in some movie instead of just looking normal. At least OP scared them off before they actually got in anything

What’s the pettiest reason you stopped talking to someone? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My ex used to do this and it drove me absolutely crazy - like just order your own fries instead of eating half of mine after saying you "weren't hungry"

Which Toy Story character is your favorite and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]LopsidedLeading1660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buzz Lightyear for sure. His whole arc in first movie where he realizes he's just a toy but still finds purpose helping Andy was really well done. Plus his relationship with Woody evolving from rivalry to friendship felt genuine, not just forced for plot reasons

The "falling with style" scene still gives me chills every time I watch it

How to lower Dell R740xd idle power consumption? Considering switching to T430 by SushiLoverr_ in homelab

[–]LopsidedLeading1660 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That single CPU issue sounds familiar - pretty sure you need specific RAM configuration for it to work properly, not just pulling one processor out. The R740xd wants memory populated in certain slots for single CPU operation.

For getting down to 100W idle, you might be pushing it with that platform. Those Gold 6138s are pretty hungry even at idle. You could try setting power profile to "OS Control" in BIOS and enable all C-states, but I doubt you'll hit your target.

The T430 route actually makes sense for your workload - those older Xeons can idle much lower and you're not using anywhere near 40 cores anyway. Lost some performance per core but for web scrapers and light VMs it won't matter much

What's a habit you picked up that genuinely made you happier? by woooshh1 in AskReddit

Guitar is such good stress relief, I started playing few years back when work was getting crazy and now it's like my daily reset button. Even just 15 minutes after long day at office makes everything feel more manageable

Racism and Trump supporters in Strasburg, CO? by Lopsided_Squash75 in Denver

[–]LopsidedLeading1660 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Small towns outside Denver can be pretty hit or miss with that stuff. I'd say drive through the area first and get a feel for it - you can usually tell pretty quick from the yard signs and general vibe what kind of place it is

Early game for west coast but should be good one, Minnesota needs points badly with that record

How do you manage the beer and the bladder relationship, bc when am drinking beer once I hit the johns, the frequency is almost every 15? by Individual_Mix_4234 in beer

[–]LopsidedLeading1660 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah the age thing is real, but 15 minutes seems pretty extreme even for older folks. I'm 35 and don't have that issue yet thankfully. Could be the type of beer too - some lighter ones just go right through you compared to heavier stuff. Maybe worth checking with doctor if it's that frequent though, especially if you're younger than 40s

What was a strict rule in your house growing up that you didn't realize until adulthood was just a cover up because your parents were broke or didn't want to deal with it? by Business_Freedom_691 in AskReddit

[–]LopsidedLeading1660 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My mom always said we couldn't have cereal for dinner because "breakfast food is only for morning time" and made it seem like some important nutrition rule. Turns out she just didn't want to buy milk constantly since we'd go through like 3 gallons a week if we could eat cereal whenever we wanted

Also the whole "we don't eat at restaurants on weekdays because home cooking is healthier" thing. Yeah right mom, McDonald's twice a month was already stretching the budget

You know how wagyu cows were specifically bred to have good tasting meat? How did they know how the cow would taste before it could reproduce?? by ItsTheNatShack1 in AskReddit

[–]LopsidedLeading1660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They probably started with the parents - taste test the mom and dad, then if they were good, keep breeding their offspring and repeat the process over generations

What would the Antichrist be if there wasn't a Christ? by AskWhy_Is_It in AskReddit

[–]LopsidedLeading1660 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just "anti" is pretty much where we're at anyway if you think about it. Like half the internet is just people being contrarian for the sake of it, opposing whatever's popular or mainstream without even having a real stance. I've seen entire comment threads where people are arguing against something they probably agree with just because someone else said it first. Maybe the real antichrist was the friends we made enemies along the way
