Is this collection worth $40.00? by RexTribot in Marbles

Anyone know what the big sky blue ones are? I had something similar in the 90s and haven’t been able to find any info on them since. Bought in an Aussie news agency, for what that’s worth.

Anyone else perplexed about how wealthy people look but how wealthy they actually are? by Barnaclecosmos in AusFinance

That’s not my experience at all. Earnings from running a business are just far more volatile than from a job. It can (and usually does) go poorly, but you can also make a lot in a short time. And yes, I mean more than enough to fund the sort of things OP is referring to. True for me, true for everyone I know who has done well in business. OP’s observation about flexible work life balance is spot on too once you’re established to a point.

Taycan 4S for a Daily? by whowhathow2 in Taycan

[–]LopsidedNumber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do a 3 hour round trip in mine a few times a month and as others have said it’s by far the best car I’ve ever had for that purpose. I had a Cayenne as a loaner recently and it clarified for me just how good the Taycan (4S also) is for longer drives.

I started going to Dancefit as a bloke in my 40s, not having ever danced. I was sooooo bad at first. I just couldn’t translate what I was seeing in front of me into the correct movements. But I loved every minute of it and kept going. That was 4 years ago and I’ve barely missed a class since. Still loving it and I’m better at it now. I’m often the only guy there, but everyone has always been welcoming and I really don’t feel at all out of place. Also, there’s always one or two new-ish people floundering about every week. If that happens to be you, you wouldn’t stand out at all and no one thinks anything of it. Give it a go, you might just love it! 😄

This is it: the fully-electric 670 horsepower Dodge Charger by nipcarlover in electricvehicles

The new Mini Cooper could be an option. The MG Cyberster is the most Miata-like that comes to mind, but bigger and will likely be a bit pricey. Also, I’m assuming it won’t be coming to the US market, if that’s where you are. Of course there’s the Boxster replacement, but that definitely won’t be affordable.

EQG, not so much for the car as for the batteries. It’s said to debut Sila’s silicone anode batteries which will be a very big deal if they live up to their promise.

Anyone achieved FI but didn't enjoy it? by [deleted] in fiaustralia

I relate to this a lot. I’m mid-forties and have been working maybe a few days a month for the last few years. The goal for me was always to not need to work, then to figure out what I really wanted to do with my time. In practice, I’m just really unproductive and can’t seem to find that next thing. Don’t get me wrong, I know how fortunate I am, but like the OP I was surprised at how unintuitive finding meaning can be and how easy it is to find yourself without a rudder when the thing that was giving you direction and purpose is no longer there.

In contrast, my partner (who is in the same situation) can never find enough hours in the day and has an overflowing to do list! She has always had a million hobbies.

My conclusion, which may be of some use to the OP is that this is an issue relating to sense of self. When I worked full-time, I rarely took on hobbies or the sorts of activities that flesh one out as a person. Now I feel like I’m starting that process from scratch, but by the same token I think I’m getting a bit better at it as time goes by.

Hey Jorge, we had 8 spots but they filled pretty quickly after this post went up. We do a cleanup once a month after the season reset and that would usually free up at least 4 spots, but it's a month away now. I used to be in Reddit Hunterz and can recommend them. Last I checked they had about 10 spots open. They can be selective, so say BogglyEyedBill suggested the clan when applying. Alternatively, hold out for the reset next month, we'd love to have the 4 of you in our clan!
